I want my hens to have the benefits of eating grass so I grow a bit in small trays. It’s so easy to grow grass, fill a tray with soil, pack it down, then sprinkle grass seeds over the surface, then water regularly and soon enough I have a lush grass tray. It’s fun giving the hens exposure to different foods and foraging to keep them engaged and healthy. Have a go at growing something for your chickens! Or what are you already growing for them?
