The room is quite large with a wall full of windows making it difficult to do standard bunk beds tucked into a corner. We decided to cut the (huge) master closet in half in order to make room for these bunks, which are located in the hallway behind the closet. We added these bunks for the following reasons: 1. As you know, we ended up moving into this house, but at the original plan was to rent it out. These bunks allow our home to sleep two additional guests which increases the rental rate. 2. More beds in the home will help with resale, as most prospective buyers in our neighborhood are looking for a short term rental investment. Bunks in a hallway or other underutilized space are very common around here! 3. For our family, these bunks provide extra space to host cousins and friends. 4.
