Azog, also known as Azog the Defiler, is a powerful orc chieftain who appears as one of the main antagonists of The Hobbit trilogy, along with Smaug and his ally, Sauron, being the main antagonist in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Battle of the Five Armies, and a supporting antagonist in The Desolation of Smaug.
