When starting a new project, I like to create a paper model of my subject to see how it will look framed. Selecting a frame before you start embroidering makes a BIG difference in creating a beautifully finished, cohesive design. It's easier at this pre-stitching stage to adjust the proportions to fit the frame better or swap out the frame entirely if the subject and frame just don't pair well.
