ABOUT ME:

  • You can call me Beck or Nathan, I’m a teen writer who used to be really active back in 2021/2022 but had a. really. really long writing slump… 😔. but I’m back now!! (I was chaotic-queer-disaster.)
  • I love fantasy, horror, and queer stories. I also explore disability a lot in my work as someone with both born and acquired disabilities.
  • some of my favourite themes to explore are identity, loss/grief, hope, friendship, gender (especially in horror), the challenges of morality, and mental illness
  • I’m looking for fellow writers to talk to and uplift! I’m especially looking if you’re any of the following: queer, disabled, teenaged, horror writer, or fantasy writer. (But all are welcome!)

My main projects are under the cut :)

i met a lot of friends through nanowrimo and would never have grown into the writer i am without it. i'd never come across any event that celebrated the joy and messiness of writing quite like nanowrimo. the first drafts of every novel i've ever written (other than the one i started as a literal child) were written during nanowrimo. i was a ML in my hometown for a spell and loved it. but the last few years have been like getting punched repeatedly in the face by an old friend every time some new controversy was unearthed. and now it's shutting down. idk. mixed feelings. if anyone still wants to write thousands of words in november together without the use of generative ai i'm down

Hi everyone it's trans day of visibility!! If ya feel like it, I'd love if you shared my work.. My name is Rachamim and I make personal queer fantasy work inspired by my Greek Sephardi background.

Her name is Katalin Karikó. Hungarian. Daughter of a butcher. Her thesis work became the basis of the mRNA vaccine technology. Read the article here.

My favorite bits from the article include how Dr. Kariko celebrated the fact that the vaccines that used her mRNA research worked

“On Nov. 8, the first results of the Pfizer-BioNTech study came in, showing that the mRNA vaccine offered powerful immunity to the new virus. Dr. Kariko turned to her husband. “Oh, it works,” she said. “I thought so.”

To celebrate, she ate an entire box of Goobers chocolate-covered peanuts. By herself.”

I sincerely hope she is recognized more than she currently is.
