The long-running reality competition series follows 18 players who are stranded on the islands of Fiji with little to no supplies. The castaways must try to “Outwit, Outplay and Outlast” each other, all while competing in tough physical and mental challenges for rewards (including food or tools) and immunity, which keeps them safe in the game for another few days.
The losers of the immunity challenges visit Tribal Council, where host Jeff Probst leads a discussion about the tribe’s dynamics, strategy, well-being and more. At the end of each episode, one player is voted out by his or her peers, as Probst dictates the show’s most iconic line: “The tribe has spoken.”
Players can also search for hidden immunity idols and advantages on their beach, which can help them outplay their competition and potentially stay alive. In the end, a jury of eliminated players decides the winner, and that player walks away with the title of Sole Survivor and the $1 million prize.
Survivor airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on CBS, and can be streamed next day on Paramount+.
