We don’t have a dog yet but are planning on it in the future. These gates are also perfect for baby-proofing an area. Have you ever used a really clunky baby gate? They are not fun to use and quite unappealing. My one regret is not doing this at the top of our stairs leading to the basement. Our builder kindly built this custom dog gate for us, and I love it! It has been used a couple of times when we’ve had visitors with dogs. This could be an easy retrofit inside an interior wall if you don’t have electrical wiring in the wall and it’s not a load-bearing wall.
