We used an unfinished cabinet base that we found at Home Depot for $175. It was the perfect size, just needed a little help to be GORGEOUS. • We primed everything using B-I-N primer & then painted it using @benjaminmoore cabinet coat in the color “Silhouette” We trimmed the edges out first with 1x3’s and cut shiplap pieces one at a time to be sure they were the perfect fit & attached them using our @ryobitoolsusa pin nailer. Kitchen Island made with Shelf Help Carcasses with Face Frames

We built this kitchen island that has seating on three sides. It is gigantic - 6 foot wide by 5 foot deep. It has storage on both the front and back. The back we had to make the doors a little lower at the top so they could swing open under the island framing. The front is a 6 foot run of cabinets with a pull out trash. The back is a 4 foot run of cabinets. Here is the two cabinet run configurations from Shelf Help, but in 24

Not leaving the roll-outs exposed.) Otherwise, you are on your hands and knees, crawling under the counter to reach what’s in those cabinets. Granted, those are usually items that you aren’t using that often and honestly a lot of kitchens I go back to after we finished have these cabinets pretty empty but everyone likes to know they have extra storage if they need it.
