Ria - Cottage garden and flower growing on Instagram: "This is my absolute favourite way to save money in the garden - and the best thing is anyone can do it!

Erigeron is a beautiful daisy-like flowering perennial which looks great in pots and edging borders and pathways. You can grow it from seed, but it does take its time. I started a batch in January and they are still very small, although they will get bigger soon so definitely hold on if you sowed along with me!

However, if you grab a small pot from the garden centre (this one was £2.99), you can make lots more plants, for free, by taking cuttings. This one roots so quickly in water on a sunny windowsill, at which point you can pot on in to compost and grow on for a bit before planting out.

It’s hands down one of my favorite flowers and will always be on my grow list. It’s small, but mighty, is super hardy, and will give your bouquets and arrangements a whimsical feel. A few tips on growing feverfew: ✨ There are many varieties of feverfew. I prefer the traditional ‘Vegmo Single’ because it’s more hardy and a more reliable bloomer than other varieties I’ve tried. ✨ This can be planted in the fall and will overwinter without cover here in SE Michigan (I’m on the border of zone 5b/6a). ✨Try starting feverfew a few different ways, that way you can potentially extend your feverfew blooming window. Amanda @ Oakwood Garden on Instagram: "The Easiest Wildflower to grow is the Ox-Eye Daisy. One seed packet goes along way and will germinate quickly, gives loads of flowers and is a prolific seed seeded. If you have an area for wildflowers these are ideal as needs very little attention and will just do its thing. Also drought tolerant so easy to grow and leave once established.

The Ox-Eye Daisy is very resilient, a hardy perennial that comes back bigger and stronger every year.

Flowers throughout the summer months, once it gets a bit straggly cut right back and you will be rewarded with a second flush.

It self seeds everywhere, but they are easy to pull up from unwanted places.

For one seed packet you could have this. 🌼
