How to repurpose a Swing Door to a Pocket Door

This Tubular Pocket Door Lock Set from @emtek_products that allowed me to reuse my traditional swing door! This helped reduce the extra cost of purchasing a new door when changing the door operation from swinging to pocket.

1. You won’t regret it! These space saving doors are ALWAYS a good idea
2. You don’t need to buy specific pocket doors…any doors can be installed
3. Spend your money on a decent pocket door system- this is the frame that’s built into the wall or cavity
I’ve used @eclisse_uk_ltd a few times now they have been good.
4. Install the soft close mechanism in the frame. This stops the doors banging
5. You can get fire door suitable frames too
6. Finally paint your doors BEFORE you install them. It can get very fiddly otherwise 🫣
