A portable polyhedral sundial made for Cardinal Wolsey. The instrument consists of nine dials on a block of gilt brass. On the base of the north and south slopes of the stand are engraved cardinal hats; on the west are the arms of Wolsey and on the east the arms of the archbishopric of York which Wolsey held.
