While I would have liked to claim this motif as an original idea, my illustration is actually based on a motif that is centuries old. It's called 'The Three Hares' and its origin has been traced back to the 6th Century AD (or CE - Common Era) in China. It seems that many other religions and cultures around the world have also used this rather mesmerizing optical illusion.
