fringe.
The importance of studying the northern border and border ports in a matter of
importance for the role they have in the movement of the main flows of goods,
goods and people between Mexico and the United States.
In this context, the Mexican Institute of Transportation has been working in both the
issues of border crossings, and the development of geographic information
systems (GIS) applied to the process of planning and programming of cross-border
transport.
GIS have multiple capabilities, which in addition to inventory allow geographic
information analysis tools for management and planning. Becoming a useful tool
for strengthening information systems that support the integration of large logistics
corridors.
The objective of this work is to perform a spatial analysis of the border crossings,
those susceptible analyzed through spatial accessibility analysis using a GIS.
Measure accessibility in terms of the time variable.
