L'articolo presenta anche una descrizione sintetica della prima rea-lizzazione di tale percorso presso la sezione maschile della casa di reclusione di Bollate e le ri-flessioni emerse in conclusione.

This study focuses on the Latent Congruence Model (LCM; Cheung, 2009), because of its capacity to deal with cross-informant measurement invariance issues. Until now, no cross-national applications of LCM are present in the literature, perhaps because of the difficulty to deal with both cross-national and cross-informant measurement issues implied by those models. This study presents a step-by-step procedure to apply LCM to dyadic cross-national research designs controlling for both cross-national and cross-informant measurement invariance. An illustrative example on parent–child support exchanges in Italy and Germany is provided. Findings help to show the different possible scenarios of partial invariance, and a discussion related to how to deal with those scenarios is provided. Future perspectives in the study of parent–child similarity and acc...

For this special issue, we assembled eight papers from different countries to examine how emerging adults are navigating financial instability. In the current introduction to the special issue, we identified the main themes that emerged from the collected studies: the role of family, emerging adults’ financial self-agency, financial disruptions and wellbeing, and the processes linking financial factors and positive development. Overall, these studies demonstrate that while the overall processes linking finances and development may be similar in different nations, the specificity of each context highlights the need to consider the important role of cultural norms and attitudes. We conclude this introduction, suggesting future research paths and implications for educators and pract...

It is important to have an instrument able to assess emerging adults’ financial capabilities and to detect its change over time. The current article aims to collect international evidence of the Financial Identity Scale (FIS) validity and reliability. Cross-sectional data collected from 2,501 emerging adults aged 18–25 and belonging to three different countries—U.S. ( n = 1,535), Italy ( n = 485), and Lithuania ( n = 481)—were adopted to test score structure validity, generalizability, sensitivity to difference, criterion-related validity, and internal consistency. Instead, four-wave longitudinal data, available for the American sample only ( n = 1,900), were adopted to test FIS structural stability and sensitivity to change. As recommended by the contemporary view of validity, different structural equation models were performed. ...

The current review maps the literature on the financial well-being of emerging adults in different disciplines (i.e., Economics, Sociology, Psychology) to systematically summarize and organize the scientific knowledge about their financial well-being by identifying this construct's definition, components, predictors, and outcomes. Electronic databases were searched for Englishlanguage studies that measured the financial well-being (or its synonyms) variable and referred to emerging adults (18-29 years). A total of 44 records were found eligible. The mapping of the coded data was organized into five sections: (1) publication, (2) research aim, (3) the financial wellbeing construct, (4) data collection, and (5) the relationships among variables. The collected information revealed that financial well-being is a complex and multidimensional construct, as emphasized in financial well-being's definition and components. The hierarchical relationship between financial well-being, financial wellness, financial health, financial satisfaction, and income satisfaction was clarified. The predictors of financial well-being were organized into 10 different categories and located in 4 quadrants generated by two axes: level (individual vs contextual) and domain (financial vs non-financial). Finally, research gaps and future research directions were described.

A cross-sectional sample was composed of 1256 adolescents who filled out a self-report questionnaire. Multiple Correspondence Analyses provided a graphic synthesis of cross-cultural results. Results indicate that parents are perceived as highly emotionally bonded, yet the perception of parental control produced two contrasting models. Canadian adolescents perceive less control and disciplinary actions from parents, and more tolerance. Conversely, Italian adolescents perceive more requirements and rules, and stricter disciplinary actions, while French adolescents' perceptions fall between the two. Results also suggested a gradual decrease in the perception of parental control between the ages of 11 and 19 years across all three countries. This reduction in parental constraints is perceived earlier by Canadian adolescents and later by Italian adolescents.
