Clustering is an effective self-organization approach to offer energy-efficient communication for WSNs. However, energy of a sensor node dynamically decreases when it plays a role of a cluster head. As a result some nodes die faster that shorten overall network lifetime and reduce reliability. Existing clustering techniques even with backup cluster head (BCH) consumes huge energy due to frequent re-clustering and inefficient backup cluster head selection and switching. In this paper we propose a new approach for backup cluster head scheme to reduce the frequency of re-clustering and thus to increase the network lifetime. We introduce the selection of an optimal set of backup cluster heads from the cluster member nodes and the calculation of their optimum switching time. To evaluate the efficacy of the proposed scheme we extend the HEED clustering protocol to backup cluster head. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed approach is effective in prolonging the network lifetime that outperforms both HEED and backup clustering proposed in [10] considerably. Proposed scheme also enhances data reliability by reducing re-clustering overhead.

BOU was established in 1992 by launching B. Ed. program. Now it has 20 formal programs and enrolled 7,81,904 students from beginning to till 2006. This study focuses on the analysis of students' enrollment trend at different programs of BOU as well as shows the projection of enrollment trend. The students' enrollment data prepared in 2006 by the Students Support services Division of BOU has been used in this study. The year wise students' enrollment pattern in different programs of BOU is analyzed using linear regression. The study showed that every year student's enrollment is rising for only four programs and declining for rest of the programs. The study reveals that some programs already have touched the border line of zero students' enrolment. At the same time, projection shows that if these trends continue at these rates, then students' enrollment of six of these programs would reach to nil in next few years. So, it is the time for the policy makers and the academics to rethink about those programs and take effective strategies to revive those programs. In the end, authors also pointed out some measures to be considered in offering effective and more popular educational program through BOU.

We run this experiment on the EMONA TIMS-301 modeling system to characterize that and find out the performance of the modeling system. After analyzing some digital decoding formats such as

Due to relaying high data traffic, some of these nodes quickly exhaust their precious energy and increase the risk of node failure. In conjunction with the node failure, data packet loss also occurs in a CH due to congestion and poor link quality. Traditional

It mostly affects individual having immunodeficiencies like tuberculosis and AIDS, but may also affect immunocompetent individuals. Here we presented a case of oral histoplasmosis with previously treated pulmonary tuberculosisand was treated by oral itraconazole. Complete disappearance of oral ulceration was evident following four weeks treatment and the patient is in regular follow up with maintenance therapy for last ten months.

A 55 years old man, diagnosed case of Trigeminal Neuralgia of the left side of the face was treated with oral carbamazepine with good response. But after that the disease became refractory to the drug. With the titration of dose of carbamazepine, raising up to 1200 mg daily in three equal divided doses added with amitryptylene, we could give relief of pain to patient. The patient is now under observation & we are following him for last 6 months with a good response of the combination drug. It justifies that alteration, titration of carbamazepine and combination with amitryptylene can cause remission of trigeminal neuralgia instead of doing surgical intervention.

Since sensor nodes are very much constrained in power supply, extending lifetime of these sensors is essential. On the other hand, it is difficult to provide reliable data transfer in WSNs because of their unreliable link quality and congestion at a cluster head (CH) node.

How to organize the nodes in a network remains a core practical problem. Node clustering is the most popular technique to increase the energy efficiency of a wireless sensor network, but the number of clusters greatly influences two performance metrics - data reliability and energy efficiency. Present methods treat these two metrics separately. To address this gap, we here introduce a joint optimal clustering technique (JOC), which optimizes both the number of clusters and the clustering process by considering intra and inter-cluster communication cost, link quality and traffic congestion so that both reliability and energy efficiency are maximized. We used simulation to compare JOC with HEED, the most popular of current clustering techniques. The results show that JOC improves network lifetime and reliability significantly.

Most WSN clustering techniques have used an a priori value to determine the cluster number. A few techniques, available at the literature, attempted to find the optimal cluster number by energy minimization. However, due to the assumption of lossless communication, these initiatives do not always converge to the minimum energy as wireless channels are error-prone. As wireless communication is always vulnerable to the signal interference, environmental noise, and so on, it suffers from data loss. To capture the characteristics of the communication phenomenon in a real context and have better reliability, we need to embed the link quality into the cluster number determination process. To address this issue, in this paper together with the energy, we incorporate link quality metric into the theoretical underpinning to achieve an optimal cluster number analytically and finally justified the result by simulation.

Land, soil, and land used pattern are the most vital factors for growing more crop yield from a part of land. In case of Bangladesh soil quality and land type varies widely within a small area of land. This study will focus mainly on to categorize the soil texture and land type that exist in Jibannagar thana of Chuadanga district using GIS. Moreover, the suitable cropping pattern for that area were also identified using GIS technology. In order to accumulate all the qualitative and the quantitative data, the " Thana Nirdeshika" booklet for the Jibannagar thana prepared by the Soil Resources Development Institute (SRDI), Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Bangladesh, was used. The digital data source that has been created by the GIS project of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) has also been used for the study. From this study it is found that four map units remain predominantly High Land (PHL), one HL and two predominantly Medium High Land (PMHL) which indicate to use winter crop, HYV rice, Broadcast Aus and Aman rice based cropping pattern.

The purpose of this paper is to primarily provide a comprehensive review and discussion of the core problems which the techniques of query optimization generally cope with by simulating a parallel database environment in different processing units. In addition to that this paper focuses on the skewing problem in parallel database architectures with proper survey of literature.
