Daily reminder: Transphobia actively contributes to sexism. If you don’t fit the beauty standard and are seen as masculine in any way shape or form, you are seen as transgender and as a “problem”
I think it’s incredibly important here to not overlook the fact that she is a Black woman. Transphobia, racism, and sexism overlap significantly because of the incredibly eurocentric beauty standards women are judged on.
So many people who claim to care about trans issues will see conservative transphobes rave about “cutting off healthy breast tissue” and “girls mutilating themselves,” rage or clown on male pregnancy, constantly share post-op photos of top surgery scars and phallo skin grafts to illicit outrage, transvestigate male celebrities to “prove he’s secretly a woman”–and then turn around and declare that the Right forgets that trans men and mascs exist. I’m so tired of it.
had to highlight this reply bc so many people don’t realize that there are a lot of things that conservatives don’t even need to ban us from bc we were not allowed access to those things in the first place, either like literally legally not allowed or are de facto barred access.
this is a really great example because any trans person who’s on testosterone is going to be banned according to the rules and any trans person who hasn’t gone on t is going to be de facto banned because they wouldn’t let a “woman” participate in men’s sports. we are damned if we do damned if we don’t.

i’m reminded of those posts from trans women who stated in their experiences that by far most cis women they interact with in person aren’t transphobic towards them. and that recent study that showed the uk population is more accepting of trans people than they perceive each other to be (ie 2 uk polls, “do you think most people are trans friendly” vs “are you trans friendly”). i think there’s more love and acceptance in this world than transphobes want you to believe. you are not as hated as legislators and conservative news outlets would lead you to believe.
I am one of those trans women out in the world, a conservative part, even, and I can tell you that there is *far* less transphobia out there than they’d like you to believe. Coming out at my job in a small, conservative town was terrifying, especially during the time where I became forced center of attention. But you know how people reacted? Curiosity, mostly. I answered some questions and they went on with their lives. Sure, there’s some transphobic people here, but they’re outnimbered quite a bit by the people who see me as just some girl.
I’m not going to stop beating people over the head for preferring to feed their pointless fucking nostalgia over not supporting a Holocaust-Denying TurboBigot who’s made it her life’s work to use every millions of dollars and her entire online presence to terrorize and criminalize trans women out of existence.
All her works do is get more and more and more bigoted, and so does she. The tolerance people have for it shows that they do not care for minorities. She talks tirelessly about how she hates minorities, they just look away and act like their twee little ‘reclamations’ of the series where Harry Potter is gay mean anything. She talks endlessly about how she views literally any endorsement of her work as endorsement for her views and they plug their ears and act like that’s not true. They cast a Black man as Snape and the fandom started cheering. I hope everyone here dies.
This is one of those true, declassified government things that always sounds made up but one of the things Henry Kissinger did with his career was use the CIA to help turn small, prosperous socialist nations into fascist dictatorships just to keep those nations powerless and possibly to keep socialist systems *looking* doomed and futile to the American public, like maybe just to scare Americans out of demanding better infrastructure or universal income. Yes it sounds like an insane conspiracy theory a maniac would invent. It also happened multiple times and several generations of people around the world are still living in misery because of it.
