  • I'm definitely the wrong person to say anything about this because I'm not a drug user, but I have to say I honestly think the language of being like "all drugs are fine" or whatever in the name of decriminalization and bodily autonomy is pretty misguided, because ultimately with any kind of substance the smartest thing to do is to be pragmatic and safe in how you use. Saying shit like "ketamine is a baby drug" or "everyone does coke" doesn't really do anything to make drug use safer, and if anything just encourages people to not take precautions like testing their drugs or using clean needles.

And this goes for literally any substance that has risks you need to account for. Like, I love coffee and caffeinated drinks, but I also take the risk of drinking them seriously, and I would never suggest that because consuming caffeine is so normalized, that having any concern about what it could do to you is babyish. This extends to lots of everyday things. Alcohol. Tobacco. Over the counter medicine. What is the utility in neutralizing being aware of safety measures in consuming a substance?

It feels like a lot of people simply cannot reconcile the difference between "using this substance should not be stigmatized" and "using this substance does carry some risk that you need to account for" and honestly it reads this kind of juvenile

  • Are you an American? Do you love our nation's national parks, our libraries, affordable health care, and essential checks and balances? DO YOU NOT WANT TO GO TO WAR WITH CANADA?

Fuck, are you just a European and you're highly emotionally invested in what's going on?

Well good news, help spread the news. Special elections April 1st and this is going to help break down the narrow majority Republicans hold on Congress.

Florida has two congressional seats up for election April 1st, and Wisconsin has a highly televised race for their supreme court Court that Elon Musk has invested millions into.

If you're Floridian, check to see if you're eligible to vote in either of the elections listed here.

If you're a Wisconsinite, for some ungodly reasons about half of your election information is buried in Google and hidden amongst government websites but, find your polling place now.

  • Hey. If you say trans men/mascs on T become more aggressive, moody, or sensitive you are calling them hormonal. This word has been used against alot of us to make us seen overly emotional delusional and untrustworthy. Please acknowledge that.

  • Just my intersex woman on T perspective: When I'm NOT on T, I become more aggressive, moody, and sensitive. I become suicidal. I become unhinged in a bad way. T makes me stable. T makes me calm and able to relax. T makes me confident and happy and helps my joint pain so I can live a happy life. T lowers my blood pressure. T has made it so I can get through college without falling apart.

Like, maybe never call anyone some sort of "hysterical" like OP's points kind of boil down to, but also - T is an effective mood stabilizer for a lot of people of all genders and sexes. When people finally acknowledge that, maybe we'll start getting somewhere with all this bullshit.

  • I'll be real, at this point I'm not sure a transgender day of visibility is something we need. I think "not being visible enough" is the opposite of the problem we have. in fact, if you can believe it, I would largely like to be less visible than I currently am, as an out trans woman

  • Seeing people in the tags saying “It was made for transmascs” and that’s strictly not true.

The event was made by a trans woman so that we had a day to celebrate being transgender that did not revolve around death and mourning.

This is not to say we cannot have complicated feelings around it or even dislike it, but please actually look into why this day was creates before completely disparaging it.
