okay but hear me out.
person A is the kind of person who basically never sneezes. ever. whenever this rare reflex does occur, they always think it's allergies or they're getting sick, even if it's just one sneeze in days (because it's apparently impossible [in their mind] to sneeze without something being seriously wrong). it's always *sneeze* "oh my allergies are so bad today" and *sneeze* "oh i hope i'm not getting sick" even though it's just a random one-off sneeze. person B is used to their dramatics, and humours them a little but just brushes their comments off, knowing that they're absolutely fine and sneezed just because. until one day, their one sneeze is indeed the precursor of the onset of allergies or the beginning of a cold, and person B brushes it off again until they realise after one sneeze becomes two, becomes three, becomes four, and then feels bad for not believing them.

when a person is so allergic and sneezy that people ask all the time if they're taking anything for that (they are) only to then forget their meds one time and OH. oh. we see now what the medicine was doing.

hhh looove a naturally sneezy person who is self conscious abt this fact until they find themselves a snzfucker and become a menace about it
