Feeling a little flat the last week, so I am heading out today to get worms to build a worm farm
update: my new lil buddies are chilling and my neighbour generously donated a wilted cucumber which they are obsessed with. 10/10 recommend

The Nelson Women’s Centre - Te Whare Āwhina Mō Ngā Wāhine Puawai - has been supporting women and their whānau for over 30 years.
They are trying to reinstate their community Social Worker Services in 2025, and are trying to raise $10,000 to do so to cover wages and associated overheads.
They were aiming to meet their goal by the end of February, but sadly, it’s 17th and they’ve only managed to raise $315. I’ll leave the link here in case you’re able to help out.
They’ve managed to secure some external funding to reinstate a social worker! The fundraiser will still go until April however - securing the original funds means that they can extend hours of availability and make a social worker more accessible to more people.
It’s currently at $765 as of the 2nd of March.
They’re at $815 as of the 10th of March ❤️
$955 as of 30th March!
just saw some of the weirdest shit of my life
lots of streamers on tt and yt are playing ai simulators and what not. made the mistake of looking in the comments of some dude who was chatting with the ai roommate.
A teeny tiny embroidered bead* lizard for my jacket!
*no actual beads were used but I figure if I can crochet a bead lizard I can embroider one

I can’t tell you guys what it was yet for a variety of reasons, but a massive conservation project in the states has been very suddenly dissolved. I’m so devastated for everyone involved. Genuinely heartbroken today.
edit: this is also the end of a career for a really big scientist and researcher who has contributed so, so much to the field. she’s been a mentor, friend and inspiration to so many. i am considering setting up a little drive to get thank you cards, art, whatever for her, so that is a possibility.
we could be gigantic feral boars who gallop through the forest together & impale people with our tusks in our next lives if we play our cards just right
