I just knowwwwww eddie’s gonna love doing a spontaneous date night at home … cooking up a big fancy meal he frets over for a while and setting out some candles and playing perfectly ambient music and dressing buck up even though he’s gonna strip him out of all of that just down the hall and when buck asks What’s this for? he says You know why. and buck says I do? and eddie says Yeah you do. and buck thinks for a second and sighs heavily and says Is it because you love me. and eddie says I knew you’d get it! and buck says Well you do this like once a month so it wasn’t hard to guess. and eddie says Quit complaining and eat your food sir. and buck says Okay Eddie :) I love you too :) … sigh :)

“No matter where life takes us, the kitchen is where we all come back to.”

Buddie + Kitchens

Anonymous —

actually after 811 i think tommy's decision to get buck basketball tickets was kind of galaxy brained of him because when buck was trying to make friends with ravi he kept asking him if he liked things eddie likes (basketball included). tommy was prob like "okay how do i keep the interest of my boyfriend who is in love with his best friend? oh i'll remind him that i like the things eddie likes!" (this is also why he said "you can take eddie")

you’re onto something here anon…..

I think what’s particularly interesting about the “competition” scene is that, at first, Tommy assumed Buck knew exactly who and what he was talking about. He only started to backtrack when Buck got confused and asked him what he meant - it seems like Tommy had an “oh shit” moment there and realised he’d revealed something Buck wasn’t aware of. But Tommy thought he was.

And I haven’t seen too many people talk about the line “Come on don’t make me say it.” Tommy thought Buck’s feelings for Eddie were so obvious that he shouldn’t even have to put it into words.

I think it’s just very interesting how the writers decided to frame this scene. To have Buck’s ex-boyfriend, who spent a LOT of time with Buck and Eddie, clearly believe that there is something going on between Buck and Eddie that is so glaringly obvious it shouldn’t even need to be said.

And that’s the way it’s framed for the audience as well. Even to GA members who might not be initially aware of the Buddie of it all, as soon as Tommy says “don’t make me say it” you are supposed to immediately know who he’s talking about the way that Buck does.

buckadoodledoo:

the thing about tommy’s “now that the competition is out of the way” is that it insinuates feelings on BOTH sides. like for tommy to consider eddie competition he has to 1. believe that buck has feelings for eddie and 2. believe that eddie has feelings for buck. otherwise it’s not really a competition. but also. during the break-up and the hook-up tommy betrayed the fact that he KNEW it wasn’t really a competition. not because buck and eddie don’t have feelings for each other. but because they DO. it wasn’t really a competition because tommy never had a chance of winning. and he knew that. like, specifically tommy broke up with buck when he did because he didn’t want it to get to a point where HE had real feelings for buck because he knew that buck had real feelings for eddie and that he could not compete with that. “you wouldn’t plan for it. but you would break my heart” implies that buck would leave him. for eddie. which then implies that buck’s feelings for eddie are reciprocated. he knew that it was only a matter of time before buck OR eddie realised their feelings. and he knew there was no chance in hell those feelings would not be reciprocated. then, fast-forward to the hook-up. he’s only willing to try again BECAUSE eddie is out of the way. he hears that eddie is gone and he thinks he has a chance. because the competition is out of the way. which, well one. reiterates that tommy knew deep down that it was never really a competition. because he knew that the only way he could potentially win buck’s love was if the other side was taken out of the equation entirely. which is foolishly what he believed eddie’s move to texas meant (laughs in facetime). and two. it confirmed again that he knew it wasn’t one-sided on buck’s part. because now that the competition is out of the way implies that eddie felt the same way. and that as soon as eddie realised that he would have won before the competition even began. which is why buck’s “and he’s STRAIGHT” was immediately met with, scoff. okay. because that’s buck’s ONLY defense. and tommy knows that as soon as that is proven untrue. it’s game fucking over.

chronicowboy:

a little while into them being together buck actually says yes one of the times eddie asks if he wants to go to basketball with him. and eddie’s like. should i be worried. and buck’s like. not if we’re on the same team :). and eddie’s like okay ❤️ yay ❤️. so they go to basketball and buck realises his mistake relatively quickly. because he and eddie haven’t done anything remotely competitive since getting together and his competency kink is difficult enough to keep under control at work but suddenly eddie’s confident and competitive and a little cuthroat and a lot sweaty. and buck is finding it difficult to focus on anything but his super hot fucking boyfriend. (he gets hit in the face by the ball three times and each time eddie comes over to check on him in medic mode and buck has to run away so his half chub doesn’t graduate to full). anyway the game goes as smoothly as it possibly can and then everyone’s talking about heading to a bar and buck’s like. sorry guys we’ve got to go pick up our kid from a friend’s. and eddie follows him to the car like a starry eyed duckling because of our kid but he’s still going to give buck shit. chris is sleeping over at his friend’s i know you know that. and buck presses him up against the side of his truck and says. how did i ever think this was about tommy. and eddie grins like a shark. and they get halfway to breaking several different public decency laws right then and there.
