I've been using this for a little bit and I really like it ^_^
Like, it's really hard to get me to try new social media. I've had two social websites I've used frequently. DeviantArt and Tumblr. Everything else has come and gone and it kinda sucks.
Putting this in the post for reference:
Prev, the fediverse is a set of social media platforms that all run on a standard system of how they handle posts, reblogs, friends/followers, and the rest. That way, all fediverse software is interoperable, like how you can plug any device that uses USB into any computer. I can see posts from bluesky and mastadon and transfem.social on wafrn. Better yet, if your federated server gets bought by some asshole who ruins it, you can just unplug your account from it and take all your posts and followers with you to whichever compatible fediverse site you move to.
That way you're not stuck choosing between leaving the hellsite run by bigoted billionaires or losing all your friends.
