it’s very disheartening to see people posting men they like from whatever stories they’re into and being like he’s like a woman to me BUT theyre not headcanoning this character as a trans woman theyre saying this character is similar to a woman in that he is bad at stuff maybe or isn’t really where he wants to be in life but not in a gender sense like specifically in the sense of being pathetic and bad at things. like maybe he’s in between jobs right now or maybe one time he cried. and this is womanesque behavior for a man to exhibit. and the people who say this? pronouns. sometimes even several. it really does boggle the mind.
When I was 10 years old, I went to the county fair with a friend and his much older brother. (When I say “much older”, he was probably 21, but I was a kid at the time and so I just thought of him as Old.)
As we were driving home, he looked back at me from the driver’s seat and said (apropos of nothing, as far as I can recall): “Remember, [DEADNAME], God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.”
But I didn’t know what gay people were at the time, so I thought he just literally meant that God didn’t create Adam and Steve. And I didn’t question that statement for 12 or 13 years
I just think that if nintendo is going to create a feature that even gets a dedicated button as part of the selling point then you should not need to pay a subscription service just to use it
having a button that you can’t press unless you wanna spend money means that nintendo has recreated the experience of accidentally pressing the internet button on your flip phone and you go you fuckfuckfuck as you try to back out as fast as possible before it charges your parents
im going to be honest i think people vastly underestimate how much it takes to emulate things for good quality and how intensive piracy & emulation are. by all means im for it but you realize building a pc that can run emulators well and safely skirt viruses with torrenting is like a pretty hefty investment both timewise and moneywise. i Get that most of this website is inclined toward doing that investment because this is a website and audience bias means more technology based people will be making opinions on this. that being said: $450 is like nowhere near enough for a good quality self built pc. what the fuck are you talking about. unless youre just incredible at refurb and finding parts for a deal.
coming from someone who used to sweat buckets over saving and spending 45 bucks on a new video game as a teenager i cannot fucking believe nintendo has the audacity to charge 90 (ninety) (as many as nine tens, and that’s terrible) mother fucking dollars for their new games. if i had a 90 dollar game on my christmas list as a kid my mom would have broken me in half
Not to venerate the halcyon and bygone days of yore, but it used to be that declaring that girls are too fragile and delicate to ever possibly compete with the boys or ever be as good as them at anything was rightly denounced as the kind of raging sexisim that made you sound like the flatly written villain of a teenybopper movie.
