C-JeS Entertainment

C-JeS Entertainment is a South Korean company established in 2009, handling the management of various artists. Some of the notable ones are boy band JYJ; singer Gummy; actors Choi Min-sik, Song Il-gook, Lee Jung-jae, Sol Kyung-gu; and actresses Hwang Jung-eum, Kang Hye-jung.

History

The agency was established to meet the management needs of Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun, former members of TVXQ, after the trio filed a lawsuit against their former record label, S.M. Entertainment. The singers met Baek Chang-ju in mid-2009, not long after they filed the lawsuit. C-JeS was established shortly after that. Baek has directly said in the interview that C-JeS was established solely because of JYJ. Baek invested heavily in building the newly created band, JYJ's image and credibility after the Korean entertainment industry closed its doors on the artists perceived as "rebels" for going against their previous management.

On 8 March 2013, actor Lee Jung-jae signed on to be exclusively managed by C-JeS Entertainment. He reportedly chose C-Jes after working with Song Ji-hyo in movie New World.

Entertainment is a form of activity that holds the attention and interest of an audience, or gives pleasure and delight. It can be an idea or a task, but is more likely to be one of the activities or events that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience's attention. Although people's attention is held by different things, because individuals have different preferences in entertainment, most forms are recognisable and familiar. Storytelling, music, drama, dance, and different kinds of performance exist in all cultures, were supported in royal courts, developed into sophisticated forms and over time became available to all citizens. Entertainment! is the debut album by English post-punk band Gang of Four, released in September 1979. This album was released on EMI in the UK and on Warner Bros. in the US.

The music on the first album shows clearly the influence of punk, yet also incorporates funk and less-obvious influences of reggae and dub, similar to other bands at the time such as Public Image Ltd., Pere Ubu, and The Pop Group. As with these other influential post-punk bands, the bass is mixed much more prominently than it typically is in rock or punk.

The album has attracted praise from rock musicians. Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers stated that the first time he heard the record, "It completely changed the way I looked at rock music and sent me on my trip as a bass player." In 2003, the album was ranked number 490 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2012, the album ranked at No. 483 on a revised list by the magazine. In March 2005, Q magazine placed the track "At Home He's a Tourist" at number 52 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks.
