Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan (pronounced [ˈsɛːf əˈli ˈxaːn]; born Sajid Ali Khan on 16 August 1970) is an Indian film actor and producer. Khan has established himself as one of the most popular actors of Indian cinema. He is the recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award and six Filmfare Awards, and was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri in 2010.

Ali Khan is the son of the former Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan and the actress Sharmila Tagore. He made his acting debut in 1992 with Yash Chopra's Parampara and later starred in the 1994 films Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Yeh Dillagi. After going through several years of decline throughout the 1990s, Khan rose to prominence with his performance in Farhan Akhtar's Dil Chahta Hai (2001). His work in Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) won him the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, and he was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Hum Tum (2004). Khan's other films include Salaam Namaste (2005) and Race (2008). He also starred in critically acclaimed films such as Parineeta (2005), Being Cyrus and Omkara (2006). In 2009, Khan branched out into film production with his company Illuminati Films, whose first release was Love Aaj Kal.

Atul Agnihotri

Atul Agnihotri is an Indian film actor, producer, and director. He started his Bollywood career as an actor but found success as a producer. He is best known for his debut film Sir (1993), which emerged as a commercial and critical success. He went on to act in several other films throughout the 1990s and early 2000s with his most notable hits being Krantiveer (1994), Naaraz (1994), Aatish (1994), Chachi 420 (1997), Yeshwant (1997), and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002). In 2011 he produced Bollywood blockbuster Bodyguard.

Career

Agnihotri's career stretches back to 1983 when he made a brief appearance as a child artist in Pasand Apni Apni. He started his film career as an adult in 1993 with Mahesh Bhatt's Sir. He made his directorial debut with the 2004 film Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa which starred his brother-in-law Salman Khan, Bhoomika Chawla, and Preity Zinta in lead roles.

In 2007 he started work on his second directorial film Hello which starred his brother-in-law Sohail Khan, Isha Koppikar and Sharman Joshi and was released on 10 October 2008. Atul's 1st release of 2014, Jai Ho entered 100 crore club. O Teri was his 2nd release of 2014, starring Pulkit Samrat and Sarah Jane Dias, and directed by debutant Umesh Bhisht.

Pooja Bhatt

Pooja Bhatt (Hindi: पूजा भट्ट; born 24 February 1972) is an Indian film actress, voice actress, model and film maker. She is the eldest child of Indian film director, Mahesh Bhatt.

Early life

Pooja Bhatt was born on 24 February 1972 to Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt (born Loraine Bright). On her father's side, Bhatt is of predominately Gujarati descent and on her mother's side, she is of English, Scottish, Armenian, and Burmese ancestry. She is the step-daughter of Soni Razdan. She has a brother, Rahul Bhatt and half-sisters Shaheen and Alia Bhatt. Her cousins are Hitarth Bhat and Emraan Hashmi.

Career

Bhatt made her acting debut at age 17, in 1989 with Daddy, a TV film directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt. In the film she portrayed a soul-searching teenage girl in an estranged relationship with her alcoholic father, played by actor Anupam Kher.

Her biggest solo hit and her big screen debut came with a musical hit, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991), which was a remake of the Oscar-winning Hollywood classic It Happened One Night.

Sanam Teri Kasam (2009 film)

Sanam Teri Kasam is a 2009, Indian romantic drama film directed by Lawrence D'Souza and starring Saif Ali Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Atul Agnihotri and Sheeba Akashdeep. The film was released in 2009, although it was produced in 1994. A long legal battle canned it for the next fifteen years, from 1994 to 2009. The film was previously titled Sambandh and Yeh Pyar Hi To Hai. The audio cassettes were released as Sambandh.

Plot

Vijay Verma (Saif Ali Khan) is a rich and selfish playboy who enjoys playing with women by giving a fake name to every girl. His friend, Gopal, (Atul Agnihotri) tells him several times to stop this act otherwise he will regret it. One day, Vijay meets a lovely tourist, Seema (Pooja Bhatt) and falls in love with her after a few meetings. During a separation, Seema sends Vijay a letter about her father agreeing to marriage with Vijay. He replies saying that he will leave immediately to get to her place. This is when the narrative introduces a shocking heel turn. Seema's father arrives at the airport and is greeted by his future son-in-law, and, shortly after, Seema's marriage ceremony takes place. After the marriage, Seema finds out that the person who has married her is none other than Gopal and she was tricked into marriage with him; when he knew that Vijay loved her too. Seema and her unexpected new spouse turn up at Vijay's home, and it's frustrating then to see Vijay quietly take the abuse doled out by the two-faced husband. Lots of yearning glances exchanged between Vijay and Seema, lots of smirking by the husband. It's a revenge tale, of course. There's a reason Seema got tricked into wedlock.

Sanam Teri Kasam (1982 film)

Sanam Teri Kasam is a 1982 Hindi-language Indian feature film directed by Narendra Bedi and produced by Reena Roy's sister, Barkha Roy, starring Kamal Haasan, Reena Roy, Kader Khan and Ranjeet. The film became a "semi-hit" at the box office and was more successful in the big cities.

R.D. Burman won his first Filmfare Best Music Director Award for Sanam Teri Kasam.

Plot

Sanam Teri Kasam is the story of Sunil and his search for his father who has gone somewhere when Sunil was just a child. He meets Reena Roy en route who leads him to his father Kader Khan. But unfortunately, somebody else (Ranjeet) has already been planted by Jeevan as Sunil and hence, Kader Khan neither recognises his real son, nor allows him to meet Reena Roy. In the end however, every hurdle is removed and all is well.

The film is also known for its super hit songs, especially 'nisha, nisha, nisha'. The other songs 'sheeshe ke gharon mein', 'kitne bhi tu kar le sitam' were also hit.
