Rules
1. All fandoms and ships are welcomed. So is original content. NSFW content is allowed, but please tag it accordingly! Everything written is allowed, including formats (fanfiction, original work, poems, etc), or ships/content. Which also means: No bashing/attacking people over their submissions. If you harass someone for their entry, you will be banned from the event.
2. Writer’s Month is a month long daily prompt event. Every day, we offer two prompts. To participate, you have to use one of the two offered prompts and post it in time - you can challenge yourself and use both prompts, but it is not required for participation. It is required that your fills are new works though.
3. You will have one week to fill each prompt. Which means that posting starts on August 1st and ends on September 6th, if you want it to be counted toward a badge (see #5). A prompt can only be filled starting the day the prompt comes up and for one week, not earlier than that; you can fill Day 23 from August 23rd to August 29th, you can not fill Day 23 before August 23rd.
4. There is no word count limit, minimum or maximum. Write a drabble, a haiku, or a novel, whatever you feel inspired for and think you can mange on time.
5. After you completed the month, you need to fill a google form with all works linked (a link to the google form will be posted in time by the mods) - if you manage to fill all 31 prompts, you will get a special, personalized badge! Everyone else will be able to collect a participation badge from our blog. If you make a masterpost on tumblr and tag it with #writersmonth20xx (replace the xx with the current year), we will reblog it!
Additionally: There is an AO3 collection that you can submit your work to if you post on AO3! It’s not a requirement for you to post on AO3, or on tumblr; these are merely options, you can post your work on any platform.
If there are any further questions, we now have an FAQ so check that out, but if anything else seems unclear, feel free to ask and we’d happily clear anything up!
