Production of residues from industries and construction sectors has increased during last few years. Much of this wasteland has been land filled, without seeing it’s possible for reuse or recycling. In the ceramic industry, nearly 15%-30% production goes as waste. The replacement of cement with Ceramic Waste Powder (CWP) or Marble Dust Powder (MDP) produces a substantial modification in compressive strength, making them suitable for the fabrication of concrete. In this research study the (OPC) cement has been replaced by both CWP and MDP accordingly in the reach of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50% by weight of M-20 grade concrete. Concrete mixtures were tested and compared in terms of compressive strength of the conventional concrete at 28 days. The aim of this research study is to study the behavior of concrete durability in comparison by partial replacement of cement with both CWP and MDP.

With the increasing population, the limited natural sources are decreasing and environmental pollution is increasing. In recent years, the increase in industrial wastes and the high cost of disposal methods of these wastes have necessitated the evaluation of industrial wastes in industrials businesses. Truck tires, blast furnace slag, fly ash, waste concrete, and dismantled asphalt coverings can be listed as industrial wastes. If these wastes are used, environmental pollution is reduced, and contributions are made to the country’s economy. In this study, an evaluation of marble waste as base material was performed. In this scope of work, physical tests, a modified Proctor test, a dry/wet California bearing ratio test, and density of soil in place by the sand cone test were conducted. Also, X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, and mercury intrusion porosimetry analyses were performed on these marble waste. As a result, the physical and mechanical properties of marble waste were det...

Increasing population has increased demand on the construction industry. Construction industry is by far one of the most potent source of all kinds of environmental pollution-air, water and noise. There is fourth category of pollution wherein the natural sources are being used in construction and therefore, the simultaneous depletion of the resources also take place. In pursuit of the reduction of demand on natural resources, waste materials are being explored and used in construction. In this paper, the potential of marble dust as a replacement of Fine aggregates in concrete has been reviewed. It has been found that 15 % of marble dust replacement with fine aggregates significantly enhances the characteristics of concrete. However, the increase in quantity above 20 % of fine aggregates adversely impacts the durability of concrete. The mechanical properties remain intact with the use of marble dust powder.

The aim of this current study is both to avoid the environmental. In this way, we will help to protect the environment by consuming the waste marble dust obtained as a by- product of marble sawing and shaping processes in the factories those operating in our region. Stone industry is an important factor in worldwide economy. Despite this, a large amount of residues is produced in ornamental stone industry with different dimension and particle size. The increasing rate at which raw material are continuously transformed into industrial products results in waste generation. Consequently, recycling of industrial wastes and byproducts is becoming a crucial demand by the environmental laws in agreement with the concept of sustainable development. The present study was therefore planned to explore the possibility of usage of waste marble powder (WMP) as partial replacement of sand for production of concrete This research work is concerned with the experimental investigation on strength of ...

India is one of the biggest marble producing country in the world (~10%). State of Rajasthan has nearly 85% of marble production capacity. Recently, the massive quantity of marble waste fine particulates generated in marble industry has become a major environmental hazard issue. Major minerals present in marble waste are calcite (CaCO 3) and dolomite (CaMg (CO 3) 2). The particle sizes of marble waste particulates has been found to be 200 µm (D 90). The chemical composition of marble wastes reveals oxides of calcium (CaO), silica (SiO 2), alumina (Al 2 O 3) and alkaline oxides (Na 2 O, K 2 O). Apart from that, iron oxide, mica, fluorine, chlorite and organic matter have also been noticed. Marble waste has been explored for possible utilization in industries, thereby it helps in preventing the environmental problems such as dumping and pollution. This article addresses the efficiency of marble wastes for materials development, leading to create some sustainable green composite materials for construction applications.

Marble dust powder is a waste that causes environmental troubles because millions of tonnes of marble dust powder are generated per year. The aims of this paper are to utilize the marble dust powder by replacing cement with marble dust powder. This helps in sustainable construction and also protects the environment. Marble dust powder is generated from lime stone mines, Glass and Paper industries etc. In this experiment, marble dust was used as an admixture in concrete, It contributed to better strength as compare to normal concrete (by replacing cement with marble dust powder in a limited amount). In this experimental study, preparation of concrete cube is done by replacing cement with marble dust powder at various percentages (0% ,5%, 10%, 20%, 30% & 40%) and study of the workability and compressive strength of concrete. It is done after seven days and twenty-eight days.
— Waste materials can result environmental problem if we leaving it directly to the environment. Hence the reuse of waste material has been needed. New products can be produce from waste or waste material can be used as admixtures so that natural resources are used more efficiently and the environment is protected from waste deposits. Marble stone industry generates both solid waste and stone slurry. Whereas solid waste results from the rejects at the mine sites or at the processing units, stone slurry is a semi liquid substance consisting of particles originating from the sawing and the polishing processes and water used to cool and lubricate the sawing and polishing machines. Stone slurry generated during processing corresponds to around 40% of the final product from stone industry. The disposal of these waste material acquire large land area and remain scattered all around , spoiling the aesthetic of entire region and natural fertility of the soil is spoiled. There are many reuse and recycling solutions for this industrial by-product, both at an experimental phase and in practical applications. The physical, chemical and mechanical properties of the waste are analyzed.

Waste management is a fundamental component to any manufacturing or production enterprise. It is estimated that there are million tons of quarrying waste are produced in each year. Although a portion of this waste may be utilized on-site such as for excavation pit refill. Waste generated at quarries and fabrication plants is quite similar. Most commonly, scrap stone must be mitigated and managed, but attention must be paid to other types of wastes, as well. These include marble sludge/slurry. Marble sawing powder wastes is widespread by-product of industrial process in India. Generally these wastes pollute and damage the environment due to sawing and polishing processes. This waste is used for making a marble waste concrete. The main aim of this waste management is to evaluate recovery and use marble waste in making a low cost concrete. The primary point of this examination is to research the chance of using waste materials of Construction industry. This examination additionally goal of decreasing expense and inaccessibility of customary materials. Passing on the waste materials to the climate straightforwardly can cause natural Problem. Subsequently the reuse of waste material has been underscored. Waste can be utilized to deliver new item or can be utilized as admixtures, so normal assets are utilized all the more proficiently and the climate is shielded from squander stores materials. In marble stone industry it produces both strong waste and stone slurry. The modern squanders are unloaded in the close by land and the normal ripeness of the dirt is ruined. The substantial business is continually searching for Supplementary material with the goal of lessening the strong garbage removal issue. In this paper the usage of marble dust powder is supplant by sand with changing rate (as-0% 10% 20% 30% 40% half) and concrete with fluctuating rate (as-0% 5% 10% 15% 20% 25%) by weight utilizing water-concrete proportion kept steady in the Concrete blend. What's more investigations to decide the ideal level of substitution at which most extreme compressive strength and furthermore split elasticity are accomplished.
