This book is the Brazilian edition of L'Instrumentalisation du Corps. But compare to the first french edition ( published at L'Harmattan, 1997) there is a preface from Carmen Lucia Soares and some more pictures but also an afterword, from me, titled « opus ex machina : the man decreased ». The book describe since Vesalius De Human corrois fabricant (1543) how human being tries to transform their own body, in occident, with various technics and technology putting the hand of human in place of hand of nature or God. 4 stratas coud be described : first one is mechanic, second one mechanical, third one energetic, forth one informational and bionic.
