This paper is derived from a study that investigated the feasibility of providing Library and Information Management (LIM) higher education in Swaziland. The study centered on two major concerns / problems facing the country with respect to LIM higher education. First, the dependence by the country on foreign schools to acquire higher education and training, and secondly, the required funding to import such education and training into the country. Also highlighted were issues of the relevance of the imported higher education and training to the country and the major concerns of the government concerning funding for higher education and training in other countries. The study targeted five population groups as follows:Prospective entrants to the LIM profession,existing and practicing LIM personnel,job advertisements for LIM personnel,existing and potential employers of LIM personnel,training institutions likely to host LIM higher education and training.
The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of financing on the growth of Restaurants in Nyeri town: A survey of selected restaurants in Nyeri central business district. Financing as a factor is a major concern to entrepreneurs and the government. The research adopted a descriptive survey design involving the owners and staff of restaurants based in Nyeri Town. The population for the study was 70 respondents from the selected 14 restaurants that offer meals, drinks and accommodation. The researcher adopted census technique to collect data from the target population of the study. The data was collected by use of a semi-structured questionnaire administered through personal interviews. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data collected. The problem of birth notification and registration has limited the rights of children to education, health, recognition among other human rights. The challenge to sufficient registration of new born babies is traceable to the initial stage of notification. There is a lack of scholarly research on incentives to address both supply and demand barriers for birth registration and a need for more robust literature on the topic. A relação com o Brasil se dá em todas as vertentes de sua produção intelectual, animada sobretudo pelas travessias atlânticas que realizou (1911-1914 e 1922-1923). Como ficcionista, aproveitou o conhecimento adquirido sobre o Brasil para escrever para todos os públicos editando o livro infantil Viagens aventurosas de Felício e Felizarda ao Brasil (1923) e o romance Mundo Novo (1927). Este livro sobre uma feminista portuguesa que se desloca a terras brasileiras em busca de uma sociedade livre de preconceitos de gênero converte-se numa utopia luso-brasileira imperialista ao longo da narrativa.
