RESUMEN Los suelos de la Amazonia presentan bajos niveles de fertilidad lo que restringe la producción agrícola. Sin embargo, el uso por sociedades humanas desde tiempos pre-colombinos ha impulsado la transformación de extensas áreas y formado suelos antrópicos llamados Terra Preta do Indio (TP). Estos suelos difieren de los adyacentes en términos de fertilidad, lo que permite, en la actualidad, actividades agrícolas intensivas. Los pobladores de la amazonia brasilera (Caboclos) hacen uso intensivo de estos suelos, en tanto las comunidades indígenas colombianas se abstienen de hacerlo por restricciones culturales. Se propone comparar, por análisis de información secundaria y entrevistas con pobladores locales, los factores culturales y legados institucionales que determinan el uso de dichos suelos en estas sociedades amazónicas. ABSTRACT In general terms, Amazonian soils are infertile and have several constraints for agricultural production. However, use by ancient human societies since pre-columbian times has driven landscape transformation of massive areas and development of anthropogenic soils called Terra Preta do Indio (TP) or Amazonian Dark Earths (ADE). ADE characterization, in terms of fertility and composition, has allowed the development of intensive agricultural activities over time. The current use of ADE for the Brazilian amazon peasants (Caboclos) is different from the indigenous communities in Colombia. The indigenous people in Colombia (Tikunas) no use this type of soils on behalf of cultural restrictions that avoid the use of ancient places. We are comparing the institutional conditions, migrations, social characterization and cultural factors that determine the use/no-use of these soils by the Amazonian societies.

Protection engineers are often interested in calculating the steady-state voltages and currents on faulted transmission lines. This necessitates the use of accurate fault solution techniques. The most commonly taught and used methods involve symmetrical components. Symmetrical components are advantageous in that they yield multiple decoupled systems that are simple to solve. This simplicity was crucial before the advent of digital computers. With modern computers, it is equally easy to perform calculations with phase components (A, B, C) or with symmetrical components (positive, negative, zero). With symmetrical components, different circuit topologies must be used for different fault types, which can be inconvenient in practice. Additionally, symmetrical component techniques commonly assume line transposition and give oversimplified results for reallife cases. This paper presents phase-domain solution methods as an alternative to symmetrical components. Phase-domain analysis allows all ten common shunt faults to be modeled using a single circuit topology. In exchange for this convenience, the phase-domain approach must account for mutual coupling between the three phases of a transmission line. However, this in turn allows phase-domain analysis to be used to model untransposed transmission lines without compromising the accuracy of the solution. This paper presents a general derivation for a steady-state, phase-domain transmission line solution and illustrates its practical use through several examples. Steady-state signals can be reliably used for testing traditional phasor-based relays. This steady-state solution is then translated into a time-domain equivalent, which numerically solves differential equations to accurately model the transition between prefault and fault states. Accurate modeling of state transitions makes this solution suitable for testing relays that use incremental quantities. I.

Tulisan ini ditujukan untuk memberikan penjelasan bagaimana keberadaan maupun kondisi Hukum Islam di Indonesia pada saat sebelum dan sesudah kemerdekaan. Membahas berdasarkan teori-teori yang telah dikemukakan oleh para ahli terdahulu, mulai dari pengasingan maupun diskriminasi terhadap nilai keagamaan Islam. Pendahuluan Dalam hal ini hukum Islam dapat dikatakan sebagai suatu hukum yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam penegakan keadilan di Indonesia. Alasan demikian disebabkan adanya perngaruh besar dari hukum Islam itu sendiri terhadap sejarah hukum yang ada. Perlu diketahui, Hukum Islam adalah hukum yang bersumber dari dan menjadi bagian agama Islam. 1 Dan juga dapat diartikan sebagai suatu seperangkat kumpulan norma-norma dan nilai-nilai yang bersumber dari agama Islam dan ditujukan untuk mengatur umat manusia dalam berbagai hubungan di kehidupannya agar selamat dan damai dunia akhirat. Peraturan-peraturan demikian yang dimaksudkan untuk menjadi landasan hukum masyarakat yang tidak hanya dibuat secara langsung oleh para petinggi ataupun penguasa dalam suatu daerah. Namun juga, peraturan-peraturan tersebut bisa berasal dari kebiasaan masyarakat dalam lingkungannya yang diangkat menjadi suatu norma dan dijadikan hukum kebiasaan yang selanjutnya dapat disebut juga sebagai Hukum Adat.
