This study aims to conduct economics and environmental cost-benefit analysis of conservation economic cropping system on slopping area in DuPhong village, DuPhong Sub-District, Suntisook District, Nan Province. Cooperative design of 5 measures for conservative economic cropping on the sloping land was done by researchers and representatives of local farmers. 103 respondents of the target were asked to collect the information used to analyze the economic environment costs and benefits of conservation economic cropping systems, thereafter the net present value under the period of 20 years were obtained. In this study, cost-benefit analysis was conducted during the implementation of conservative economic cropping systems. Furthermore,

Objective: To conduct item analysis and investigate validity and reliabilityof the Patient-Reported Outcome Measure of Pharmaceutical Therapy forQuality of Life (PROMPT-QoL) questionnaire by using classical test theory.Method: In this study, data were collected from 400 outpatients who hadbeen using medications for at least 3 months at Ramathibodi hospital.Participants completed PROMPT-QoL, Medication Taking Behaviorquestionnaire (MTB), WHOQOL-BREF-THAI and EQ-5D-5L Thai version bythemselves and retested these questionnaires in one week later. Classicaltest theory was used to analyze item and test construct validity, criterionvalidity, internal consistency reliability and test-retest reliability. Results:Among 9 PROMPT-QoL domains, 7 domains were correlated with overallquality of life domain significantly. Different sex, age, levels of education, number of medicines per day, disease control level and incidence ofadverse drug reaction affected PROMPT-QoL scores in each domaindifferent...

Insulin plays a crucial role in regulating the proper metabolic and energy balance. Once insulin signal transmissions are decreased, this can lead to a condition known as "insulin resistance". Difference mediators, such as pro-inflammatory cytokines, free fatty acids, blood glucose and ROS level can increase the activity of kinases, i.e. several Protein kinase C (PKC) isoforms, c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK), Protein kinase A (PKA), Mammalian Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) and Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase (MAPK), which affecting the signal of insulin receptors, IRS, and downstream-located effector molecules. Therefore, better understanding on the molecular mechanisms of these pathways is important for developing a more effective treatment of insulin resistance and associated diseases. This review summarizes the current knowledge on the mechanism of insulin resistance, the diseases associated with insulin resistance and biological effects of recent agents, which are developed for increasing insulin signaling, and are currently undergoing clinical trials.

This purpose of this research were 1) to find achievement of new researcher and 2) to find satisfaction of new researcher who trained by the Blending Training Program Integration with Knowledge Management System for New Researcher in Research Proposal Performing. The simple random sampling samples were 30 new researchers who interested to write research proposal and had not experience for research proposal performing. The Blending Training Program Integration with Knowledge Management System efficiency equal to 82.03/80.67 which was divide to two parts that the first part was used in e-Learning were coaching, collaboration learning, and knowledge management system and that the second part was used The techniques used in Face-to-Face Learning. The after process of training , the new researchers were evaluated by posttest and trainee’s satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics implemented were mean and standard deviation. The finding of research : 1) the achievement of new researcher...

Fatigue is an unpleasant symptom that occur in postpartum women. It affects not only postpartum mothers but also children and others. There are many techniques to relief fatigue especially non-pharmacological management. This study aims to summarize the knowledge about non-pharmacological interventions for the postpartum women with fatigue and to assess the effectiveness of such fatigue management during the 6 weeks postpartum . The relevant documents have been retrieved from electronic sources. The data collection consisted of a research screening form, the quality assessment form and the data extracted form. In this study, effect of gas nitrocarburizing process on hardened and tempered high speed tool steel (SKH51) under the hardening and tempering process by difference heat treatment processes (tempering 2 cycles and 3 cycles before nitrocarburizing process) were studied. The results showed that nitrocarburizing process can increase a higher surface hardness approximately 4.4 times compared to non-heat treatment or approximately 1.4 times compared to hardened and tempered specimen. In addition, the nitrocarburizing process can be used instead of a tempering process. Moreover, heat treatment process and the production cost can be reduced by nitrocarburizing process.

Objective: The objective of this pilot study was to investigate immediate effects of Thai herbal hot pack on pain and muscle flexibility in person with chronic low back pain.Material and Method: Twenty-two subjects with low back pain received the Thai herbal hot pack treatment which was heated by microwave oven on lower back for 30 minutes. Subjects were assessed pain and flexibility using visual analog scale and sit and reach test, respectively. Both parameters were measured at baseline and immediately after treatment. Results: The results showed that there were statistically significant difference in pain and flexibility immediately after 30 minutes of using Thai herbal hot pack…

วารสารวิชาการและวิจัย มทร.พระนคร, 13(2) : 106-118The Thai wisdom knows the benefits of Carissa carandas L. to be used as a traditional herbal medicine. However, there was no scientific evidence to show that Carissa carandas L. of Thailand can treat gout or not. In this research, the Carissa carandas L. fruit extract in semi-ripening and ripe stage were studied for the phytochemical and inhibitory activity of xanthine oxidase, one of the causes of gout. The result of hytochemical indicated that the crude extract from semi-ripening stage fruit contained many substances; phenolic compounds, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins and deoxy sugars. While the ripe stage fruit contained the similar substances excepted saponins. The extract solution of Carissa carandas L. showed the xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity, as the ethanolic extract solution gave the higher activity than water extract solution. The crude extracts of semi-ripening stage fruit presented the higher activity th...

Study on the effect of salinity on variations of hemolymph osmolality, protein, carbohydrate, Na, K, Ca, Mg and Cl concentrations in males P. pelagicus plasma which were acclimated in 8 levels of salinity (7-40 ppt). Results indicated that osmolality and Cl concentrations were significantly (p< 0.05) related to salinity. Hyper-, iso-, hypo–osmotic and ionic regulations were occurred at 7-29 ppt, 30 ppt and 31-40 ppt, respectively. The result found that the ionic regulation was efficiently controlled by P. pelagicus in 10-35 ppt whereas the osmolality, protein and carbohydrate were efficiently controlled in 25-40 ppt. It recommended that the salinity range of 25-35 ppt should be the most suitable salinity for raising of P. pelagicus.

The aim of this article is to present the development and using the assessment form of behavioral risk level of chronic kidney disease. Behavioral risk composed of 8 behavior risks; hold urine, not careful drugs, drink less water, high fat diet, high salt diet, smoking, alcohol drinking, and a high protein diet. This form could identity behavioral risk level in three groups; high risk, moderate risk, and minimal risk. Two usefulnesses of assessment form of behavioral risk level to chronic kidney disease are 1) people can know their behavioral risks, and 2) can used as a tool for caring people who risk to chronic kidney disease.
