Nowadays, the competition among airplane industries is very tough. According to Daniel Chan (2000), with just about two years to go to the turn millennium, air wars over Asia are hotting up, with some of the world’s biggest airlines engaged in intense over Asian skies[1]. Each Of Airplanes Company in the world trying to conduct some strategies to compete with another competitor in their industry. A lot of airplane companies come out with different strategies to make their company better than their competitors. To compete with their competitor in the business environment, a company needs to make a strategy to achieve their long terms objective and can be successful for doing their business.

Moreover, to be successful in their long terms objective and their business, company need to identify their strategic management, because with good strategic management company can be achieving their vision and mission to achieve the successful in their business. Regarding this issues, the strategic management becomes important due to the following reason such as globalization to survival their business, and than e-commerce become the critical success to the company nowadays.

Based on the Brand Assets Management model by Scott M. Davis, this paper analysed the brand vison, brand picture and brand strategy of AirAsia. The results show the clarity of brand vision on the aspirations of the company, the understanding of consumer need and image of AirAsia in the brand picture phase, the distinctive positioning of the brand as the leader of its product category as well as being able to realise the brand promise and finally the achievements of the company in terms of passenger load, sales and profits. The framework shows the importance of a clear and resolute brand vision and values that form the basis for management strategy and tactics. AirAsia's brand vision to be the leader in the region provides the direction for the development of brand strategy as well as other financial and operational decisions to realise the brand promise.

In the new geopolitical state of affairs the situation in Asia is obviously the focus of international politics of emerging powers in the region: China and India, along with recovering Russia and USA national interests. Especially important had been US decision to turn attention back toward Asia, which has started to be one of the reasons for China’s concerns. Currently, China is building its power in many dimensions one of which is connected to enhancing military capabilities. There are many trends in modernizing the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), and among them force projection is the real issue to face possible threats coming out of the Chinese mainland. Such capabilities are offered by PLA Air Force (PLAAF), which is currently undergoing a robust process of modernization in all aspects. The same trend is observed in other countries as Russia, India and Japan,. Also smaller nations like Pakistan, Taiwan and Republic of Korea are treating air force development as priority. However, those are long term projects requiring enormous resources to achieve desired effects. This overall modernization is causing some security concerns recognizing the arms race as a source of possible risks. Also the US leadership is recognizing the need to enhance regional capabilities by delivering weapon systems, building infrastructure and by strengthening alliances with Asian nations. This book is analysing current status and trends of air forces developments in selected nations in the context of the lessons learned coming from last military conflicts. The influence on the modernization of Asian armed forces is also discussed in the context of to their perception of national security. Figures, tables and maps are provided to support the research and to visualize the matters covered in the paper.

Covid-19 pandemic began to spread in the final week of January 2020 at Malaysia and until this moment in time, the whole world is still facing the pandemic. The communication process can be difficult due to cultural differences, especially in a culturally diverse
workplace. While everyone may speak the same language, lack of empathy and tolerance toward another of
different sociocultural background could spell more trouble than language barrier. One miscommunication that
touch on the sensitivities of other cultures and beliefs could blow up into racial discord as it breaks the citizens
into proponents and opponents despite not being involved in the controversy directly. That is why in any decisionmaking
process, it is imperative to also take into account cultural aspects and the meeting should involve decision
makers from various cultural backgrounds, over and above leaders who are tactful, respects other people’s
cultures, and wise in managing conflicts.
This study presents about a case whereby female Muslim flight attendants of a local airline service are
prohibited from wearing the hijab or headscarf. Our finding is presented in many perspectives, such as women’s
rights. Female Muslims are always given the choice to don the headscarf or not so when certain rule is
communicated without culturally considering them, the ruling went against their rights. Equally important, this
issue has also prompted the government to take action against the employer for the discriminatory policy under
the Employment Act and Labor Law. While corporate and commercial businesses in Malaysia are climbing up
the ladder of globalization, sometimes there are procedures that must be tailored to the norms of the social
environment around us whilst maintaining professionalism. Thus in the context of flight attendants’ dress code,
cabin crew of local airline services should have an appropriate dress code that goes well with our local cultures.
Apart from that, this paper suggests that in order to manage workforce diversity, employers and employees
need to be aware and fully understand each and everyone’s cultures. As a result, the employees who made up of
a variety of ethnics will stay united, be more motivated to work and be able to achieve job satisfaction.
Communication becomes more effective when people respect individual differences and be aware of cultural
diversity. In addition, women play a very important role in the well-being of family and national development.
The government has also declared 2018 as Women Empowerment Year. Therefore, women who don headscarves
should not be seen as any less worthy than women who don’t wear at their workplaces.
The key solution to getting the better of this issue could be as simple as instilling mutual understanding
and respect among ethnics in school. Civics and national studies should not be underestimated because they
prepare us to undergo works in culturally diverse workplaces in the future. Many teaching and learning institutions
produce great leaders, but these leaders lack inclusive and cross-cultural communications.

Ozone (O3)‑induced cell death in two suspension‑cultured cell lines of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) derived from Bel‑W3 (hyper‑sensitive to O3) and Bel‑B (highly tolerant to O3) varieties were studied. By exposing the newly prepared cell lines to the pulse of ozonized air, we could reproduce the conditions demonstrating the difference in O3 sensitivity as observed in their original plants, depending on the exposure time. Since O3‑induced acute cell death was observed in the dark, the requirement for photochemical reactions could be eliminated. Addition of several ROS scavengers and chelators inhibited the cell death induced by O3, indicating that singlet oxygen (1O2), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), hydroxyl radical and redox‑active metals such as Fe2+ play central roles in O3‑induced acute damages to the cells. As expected, we observed the generation of 1O2 and H2O2 in the O3‑treated cells using chemiluminescent probes. On the other hand, an NADPH oxidase inhibitor, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and some SOD mimics showed no inhibitory effect. Thiols added as antioxidants unexpectedly behaved as prooxidants drastically enhancing the O3‑induced cell death. It is noteworthy that some ROS scavengers effectively rescued the cells from dying even treated after the pulse of O3 exposure, confirming the post‑ozone progress of ROS‑dependent cell death mechanism. Since one of the key differences between Bel‑B and Bel‑W3 was suggested to be the capacity for ROS detoxification by catalase, the endogenous catalase activities were compared in vivo in two cell lines. As expected, catalase activity in Bel‑B cells was ca. 7‑fold greater than that in Bel‑W3 cells. Interestingly, Ca2+ chelators added prior to (not after) the pulse of O3 effectively inhibited the induction of cell death. In addition, increases in cytosolic Ca2+ concentration sensitive to Ca2+ chelators, ion channel blockers, and ROS scavengers were observed in the transgenic Bel‑W3 cells expressing aequorin, suggesting the action of Ca2+ as a secondary messenger initiating the oxidative cell death. The O3 ‑induced calcium response in Bel‑W3 cells was much greater than Bel‑B cells. Based on the results, possible pathways for O3 ‑dependent generation of the lethal level of ROS and corresponding signaling mechanism for induction of cell death were discussed.
