AngularJS (commonly referred to as "Angular") is an open-source web application framework maintained by Google and by a
community of individual developers and corporations to address many of the challenges encountered in developing single-page
applications. It aims to simplify both the development and the testing of such applications by providing a framework for clientside
model-view-controller (MVC) and model-view-viewmodel (MVVM) architectures, along with components commonly used
in rich Internet applications.

The AngularJS library works by first reading the HTML page, which has embedded into it additional custom tag attributes.
Angular interprets those attributes as directives to bind input or output parts of the page to a model that is represented by standard
JavaScript variables. The values of those JavaScript variables can be manually set within the code, or retrieved from static or

OAuth is an open protocol for allowing secure API authorization from desktop and web applications through a simple and standard method. It manages handshakes between applications and is used when an API publisher wants to know who is communicating with the system. Many of the largest API publishers have implemented OAuth to handle write access to their APIs.

MVC stands for model view controller. This software design pattern creates applications in a modular design separating the tasks into three separate programming modules or areas. The idea has existed historically for decades and according to Wikipedia model-view-controller was introduced in the 1970’s at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center. MVC can be used in desktop applications, web development projects and in embedded software applications as well.

This project is intended to ease the writing process of dynamic SPARQL queries for applications. Its goal is to make an autocomplete form that can be reused in different applications and will be up to date with the latest ontologies, thus making the process of using Linked Open Data closer to application developers in general. This is done by having a server with an API that returns a JSONP format for each SPARQL query sent by the user application, i.e. the autocomplete form. The autocomplete feature is implemented with AngularJS and helps the user with writing the SPARQL keywords, the ontology classes and properties.

The real-world implementation of this approach is better achieved by user-friendly bioinformatics systems for healthcare professionals. In this report, we present an online platform that endows users with an interface designed using MEAN stack supported by a Galaxy pipeline. This pipeline targets connection hubs in the subnetworks formed by the interactions between the proteins of genes that are up-regulated in tumors. This strategy has been proved to be suitable for the inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis in vitro. Therefore, Perl and Python scripts were enclosed in Galaxy for translating RNA-seq data into protein targets suitable for the chemotherapy of solid tumors. Consequently, we validated the process of target diagnosis by (i) reference to subnetwork entropy, (ii) the critical value of density probability of differential gene expression, and (iii) the inhibition of the most relevant targets according to TCGA and GDC data. Finally, the most relevant targets identified by the pipeline are stored in MongoDB and can be accessed through the aforementioned internet portal designed to be compatible with mobile or small devices through Angular libraries.
