    We have had this rug for a few months and loved it. It does have an excessive amount of shedding and fills the vacuum up almost every time you use it. However, we had to clean a spot off the other day and have major issues now. The spot was small but we used the rug doctor to treat and suction a small area. We worked on another spot at the same time. Since wool takes a while to dry, we were thinking the initial color difference would correct itself after a few days. It has been 4 days and the rug is completely dry. Both spots that were fully cleaned now look like someone has wet on the rug. It has a brownish water stain and the gray color is gone from the rug as if the dye has washed out. This is unfortunate because the rug was expensive and only a few months old. Since it is in the main traffic area, we cannot use it anymore.

    I needed a rug to complement the Ballard Antelope rug in an open floor plan in my new home. This rug pairs nicely with my antelope rug instead of competing with it. It works as neutral and the quality is very good. I prefer wool rugs to synthetic. Very pleased.

    I love the way this rug looks and feels. However, it's mostly wool. I have young kids, and two dogs. Spills have happened on it. Throw up has happened on it. It's impossible to clean and stains very easily. I've tried every method I could find to clean wool rugs, and nothing has entirely removed any of the stains. My own fault for not reading the material at purchase and once it arrived, I gambled and kept it because I like the look.

    As with most wool rugs, it sheds quite a bit.

    Aside from staining, it's been down about 7 months and wears quite well. I'm just at the point where I can't rotate it any more times to hide stains under the furniture. For a $500 rug it's not worth paying a professional for cleaning.

    If you're kid and pet free, and do mind shedding - go for it, great rug. If not, go synthetic.

Frustrating since rugs are so difficult to return. Don’t waste your time buying them returning because this will certainly come apart! Sadly have to live with this rug that looks torn up.

    Beautiful rug, but it is not soft at all. This rug should be used in a room where you don’t plan to sit on the rug, etc. I have it in a nursery and it is much rougher than I would prefer for this space. Again, very beautiful, but I would recommend for a dining area or office.

    I cannot tell you how gorgeous this rug is!! I had been holding off purchasing this masterpiece as it was to replace an existing rug and the price almost halved at the October Prime Days. It was too good to pass up and I’m so glad I decided to buy it!! The room now looks pulled together and inviting, and it complements everything already there. Quality is fantastic. Only comment is the offset of the manufacturing gas when you open it - takes a few weeks and some spray - but we’ve had a warm enough Fall to open the windows to help that along.
