I have had backyard chickens for about 5 years now. Currently, I have 3 hens and a rooster. I got my first chicks when my husband and I decided we'd like our own eggs instead of store-bought. Little did I know at the time that raising chickens would be such a rewarding experience. Working in the coop, feeding them, gathering eggs, and yes, playing with them gives me such peace!
I also love to read, cook, fish, sew (new to this), and spend time family and church.
