The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday.
Celebrities including Margot Robbie, Jennifer Aniston, and Taylor Swift took to the red carpet ahead of the ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
There were plenty of memorable details from this year's event, from daring fashion statements to couples coordinating their outfits on the red carpet. But there were also plenty of under-the-radar details that you may have missed.
Margot Robbie's dazzling pink gown and fishnet boa was inspired by Superstar Barbie.
Robbie's Golden Globes ensemble shows that Barbiecore fashion is here to stay in 2024.
As Business Insider reported, Robbie wore a floor-length gown covered in sequins with a fishnet boa inspired by the Superstar Barbie from 1977. The ensemble was custom-designed by Armani Privé and styled by Andrew Mukamal.
Barry Keoghan's brooch paid homage to his "Saltburn" character.
Barry Keoghan wore a plaid crimson suit over a white shirt that was designed by Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton, according to Vogue. The actor elevated the outfit with a handful of bold accessories, including a pearl and chain detail that adorned Keoghan's pants, a ruby and pearl necklace, and a matching earring.
But the stand-out accessory had to be Keoghan's Tiffany and Co. brooch, which paid tribute to his "Saltburn" character, Oliver Quick. Keoghan's stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, told Vogue that the brooch, which resembled a pink-eyed animal bearing antlers, was a nod to the fancy dress costume Keoghan wore in the film.
Billie Eilish's shoes were purchased from a thrift store.
Billie Eilish paired an oversize blazer with a pleated skirt and a blue shirt with a rounded collar that she elevated with a ribbon she was given for her birthday, People reports.
The singer highlighted her love for sustainable fashion by wearing a pair of Mary Jane heels that she bought from a thrift store, the publication added.
Eilish spoke about her passion for thrifting at Overheated, an event she hosted in London to highlight the climate crisis, back in August.
"What I like about the freedom of thrifting is that nobody's telling you, 'Here's the section that's the girly and here's the section that's boyish and here's the section that is fancy and here's a section that's casual,'" Eilish said, according to the Evening Standard.
"It's just all there and so it's up to you to decide whatever you want to decide," she added.
Pedro Pascal used nail art to poke fun at his arm injury.
Pedro Pascal walked the carpet in black pants, a black-and-white printed shirt, and one unmissable new accessory — an arm sling.
Pascal hasn't shared many details about the injury or when it took place, other than telling the Associate Press that he had a fall.
"Be careful, exactly. It can happen to anybody," he said in a video shared to X.
The actor poked fun at the injury by wearing nail polish that spelled out the word "Ouch," Page Six reports.
Lily Gladstone wore earrings from a Native American designer.
Gladstone's white dress and statement black cape were custom-designed by Valentino, and a Bulgari choker accented the gown's strapless neckline.
Beaded earrings completed her look. Lenise Omeasoo of Antelope Women Designs, a Blackfeet artist, designed them. As The Guardian reported in 2017, Gladstone spent her childhood on the Blackfeet Reservation, making the earrings even more special.
"Abbott Elementary" stars Tyler James Williams and Chris Perfetti had a matching moment on the red carpet.
Williams and Perfetti both wore custom Dolce & Gabbana suits to the Golden Globes, giving them coordinating looks while still allowing the actors to show off their personal style.
The suits were lined with vertical stripes, and Williams' was taupe while Perfetti's look was black and white. Perfetti wore no shirt with his suit, which had white buttons and asymmetrical lapels. An oversized black flower on his lapel completed his look.
Williams, on the other hand, opted for a white shirt, black tie, and gold chain with his suit, which had a slimmer fit than Perfetti's.
Sheryl Lee Ralph's daughter styled her Golden Globes look.
Ralph, who was nominated for her performance on "Abbott Elementary" at the Globes, walked the red carpet in a form-fitting, off-the-shoulder dress designed by Safiyaa.
The gown's bodice and skirt were black, while the neckline and puffy sleeves were made of a bright yellow fabric that flowed into an oversize bow. The ribbons trailed like a train behind her as she walked.
Ralph revealed on the red carpet that her daughter Ivy-Victoria Maurice styled the look.
Rosamund Pike's veil was fashionable and functional.
As BI's Lauren Edmonds reported, Pike attended the Golden Globes in a black Dior Couture dress that cinched at the waist and had a full skirt that ended at her ankle.
A layer of netted fabric adorned with flowers overlayed the dress, creating an illusion look on her arms. The netting also coordinated with an elaborate veil Pike wore over her face.
Pike told Variety's Marc Malkin on the red carpet that she chose the veiled look because she got in a skiing accident in December that "smashed up" her face.
"Not what you want, knowing you're coming to the Golden Globes on the seventh of January," she said, adding that she had healed since then but decided to wear the look anyway because she "fell in love" with the veil.
The subtle print on Gillian Anderson's dress sent a message.
Anderson walked the red carpet in an off-white, strapless ball gown custom-designed by Gabriela Hearst at the Golden Globes.
At first glance, you might not notice the white adornments on the skirt, but it's covered in embroidered depictions of vulvas. The actor told British Vogue she wanted to include vulvas on her gown both as a nod to her "Sex Education" series and her drink brand, G Spot.
"Each yoni motif took about 3.5 hours to embroider and was made entirely in the garment district of NYC," Anderson said of the gown's creation on Instagram.
Oprah Winfrey's dress took hundreds of hours to make.
Winfrey's custom Louis Vuitton gown had long sleeves, an off-the-shoulder neckline, and a figure-hugging silhouette.
Intricate, textured applique adorned the dress from head to toe. Winfrey told Extra hosts Mona Kosar Abdi and Adam Glassman on the red carpet that it took three women 600 hours to make the one-of-a-kind gown.
