In a conversation with Oprah Winfrey for The Hollywood Reporter, the 27-year-old actress explained how afraid she was of being sexy after her photos were hacked and resulted in nude photos being released on the internet.

"I haven't done anything sexy or sexual," Lawrence said of the movie roles she has pursued over the years. "I've been afraid of that since 2014, when I got my pictures hacked. I just thought, 'I'll never do that again. I'll never share that part of myself ever since it got shared against my will.'"

Her role as a spy in the upcoming movie "Red Sparrow" is the first "sexual" role she said she has said yes to.

"When I said yes to 'Red Sparrow,' I felt I was taking something back," the actress said.

The hack has led Lawrence to be wary of technology.

"I have such fear with my phone and my computer and electronics," Lawrence said. "It's taking somebody's intellectual property but also my body. It was violating on a sexual level."

The actress also recently spoke about the hack for The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast and said she was still struggling with the invasive abuse.

"When the hacking thing happened, it was so unbelievably violating that you can't even put it into words," she said. "I think that I'm still actually processing it."

"Red Sparrow" will hit theaters March 2, 2018.
