I know all the talk about food-based beauty trends is getting old, but the conversation has to continue at least through the end of Awards Season. If only for dearest, darling Demi Moore.
Played for gross-outs as they might have been, The Substance was positively full of food scenes; I'll never not think about Moore's hands ripping into a rotisserie chicken. Then there was her comment about being labeled a "popcorn actress."
Now, the 62-year-old is kicking off the biggest week of the season with a manicure that screams "I deserve a sweet treat." And she does! So, who ordered the little golden statue?! Was it you, with the nude syrup manicure?

Demi Moore's Nude Syrup Manicure
While attending the Academy Awards Nominees Dinner on Tuesday, February 25, the best actress hopeful showed off an elegant, sheer manicure that—while sweet—leaned more syrup than jelly. Each of her nails was filed into a short, rounded-square shape and painted the same neutral, gleaming, slow-pouring-if-they-were-liquid shade.

It appears London-based nail artist Imarni first crafted the manicure for Moore to wear to the SAG Awards days earlier—a testament to this style's flexibility. If that's the case, she used hand care products by Joonbyrd and Bio Sculpture Gel Polish in the shade Luka to get her desired result.
Demi Moore's Oscar Nominee Dinner Look
What does one wear as their outfit before the outfit? That's the question the nominee dinner gets to answer.
For the big evening, Brad Goreski styled Moore in an oversized white Nina Ricci suit with an open back (her The Substance method dressing has been so good). Sofia Tilbury handled makeup, offering up a glowy pink cheek to highlight those gorgeous cheekbones, while Dimitris Giannetos got to work on the actress's famous long locks.
Sleek and straight near her crown, the texture made its way into a nice wave toward the ends of her long hair, tickling the cinch of her waist.
Now, we just have to wait to see what her team pulls together this weekend. If it's the same mani, fair! But I also wouldn't be mad to see a shimmery soap style again—or something similarly worthy of the name Elisabeth Sparkle.
