Most things from the Y2K era seem to have made a steady comeback, from graphic tees and hair stamps to exes Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie making headlines.
With the 81st Annual Venice Film Festival in full swing, the coveted festival’s artistic director Alberto Barbera revealed that the team made sure to keep Brad and Angelina’s movies from overlapping on its schedule. ICYMI, both actors are in the thick of promoting their upcoming films, as Angelina stars in Pablo Larraín’s Maria and Brad stars in Wolfs.
“Angelina will be on the first day, on Thursday [August 29], and she will leave right after with Pablo Larraín” to attend the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, Alberto told Vanity Fair in a recent interview. “So Brad will arrive only on Saturday, to Venice. There is no way that they can cross each other at the Lido,” he continued, referencing the island where the fest touches down every year.
A source also confirmed to Page Six that neither Brad nor Angelina requested for the Venice Film Festival to adjust its schedule. 👀 “Neither asked for that, they were wise enough to realize,” the insider dished. While Brad’s film is set to premiere on September 1, Angelina was spotted in a floor-length brown Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello gown at the Hotel Excelsior ahead of the Maria premiere on August 29.
The former couple was famously known as Bradgelina throughout their 12-year relationship and started dating in 2004 after they filmed Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They tied the knot 10 years later, with their six children taking part in the wedding ceremony. In 2016, Angelina filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Per Today, the divorce is still pending as legal drama has unfolded due to an airplane incident in 2016, a custody battle over their children, and deciding who will take ownership of their French winery, Château Miraval.
