All journeys have to come to an end and we finally get to see what's at the end of the road in Agatha All Along. So many trials and sacrifices have come down to this and while we can never predict what Marvel has in store next, we are definitely excited to see how this all affects the future. But you may be wondering how it all went down at the end for Agatha and her coven. After all, the Witches' Road is not for the most basic witches. Did someone else die? And what about Billy's future?

Here's the ultimate breakdown of the Agatha All Along season 3 finale.

Wait, it was a double finale...

And a lot happened in both episodes! So we're going to do a small-ish recap of episode 8 before we get into what happened in the finale episode.

Episode 8 immediately begins right where we left off last with Lilia sacrificing herself. Agatha and Rio talk one-on-one where Rio reveals that she is trying to get Billy back as he managed to avoid death and go into another body, tipping the balance of things. Rio also notes that she is surprised by how much Agatha has allowed people to believe the horrible things about her and what happened to Nicky, leading us to realize that the truth about Agatha is not real. Agatha creates a deal with Rio where she will give Billy back to Rio and, in turn, Rio will finally leave Agatha alone.

Agatha, Jen, and Billy continue on the road but they soon realize that it is a circle. Before Agatha decides to do it all again in the hopes of reaching the end, Billy puts on his shoes and the three are transported to the next trial. There Jen realizes the truth of what happened to her—Agatha was the one who put the binding spell on her. She does an unbinding spell to regain her powers and she disappears as she's gotten what she's wanted from the road. Agatha then decides to help Billy find Tommy's soul and he manages to move it onto another unkown body.

Now all alone, Agatha finds an old seed in her locket, plants it on open ground, and is able to complete the trial. She ends up returning back to her house, where Rio is waiting for her who notes that she didn't give Billy up. Agatha says the road should've given her prize of gaining power, but then realizes that it does not work that way. Rio, who wants to take Agatha back, fights her, but Billy comes up to save Agatha and gives her some of his power.

Rio says that one of them can leave and the other one must stay. Agatha initially sets off to sacrifice Billy, but after he mentions Nicholas, she turns around and kisses Rio, giving herself a literal kiss of death and sacrificing her life for Billy. Billy returns back home and enters his room where he realizes that he has different pieces of the road around him when he hears Agatha's laugh...

But, wait, a flashback!

We're now in the finale episode, which kicks things off with a flashback. A younger Agatha is pregnant and running through a forest all by herself. About to give birth, she sees Death coming towards her and begs her to not take Nicholas away. Death tells her that all she can give her is more time which Agatha is thankful for.

They start traveling together, with Agatha tricking witches to hit her with their powers, allowing her to absorb them and kill them in the process. As Nicholas grows older, we discover that he created an original version of the Witches' Ballad as they were walking down a road together. The song later changes to the current form of the Witches' Ballad. One night, Death comes and takes Nicholas away, leaving Agatha mourning for her son and in search of more power.

Throughout the decades, Agatha continues to use the Witches' Ballad and the idea of the road as a way to take witches' powers. She tricks them into "summoning" the road with her, but when they fail she provokes them, causing them to hit her with her power and allowing her to absorb it.

Which leads us back to present day...

When we see the new coven try to open the road from the first episode. But this time, Agatha is surprised the road is actually real and pieces together that Billy was able to make it real with his powers, leading her to realize he is the son of the Scarlett Witch/Wanda Maximoff.

Back in Billy's room, he is shocked to see Agatha, who is now a ghost. She tells him the truth about what happened and how he was able to create the road, leading Billy to feel guilty for all the lives that were lost along the way. Agatha, however, points out that he actually saved a life since Jen got her power back and she was freed instead of dying like Agatha initially intended. Agatha notes that he has to get used to this feeling, but Billy fights back saying he will never get used to it.

He immediately heads back to Agatha's place, where he uses the locket and his spellbook to try to banish Agatha's ghost. Agatha is able to snatch the locket away from him and she admits she's afraid of fully crossing over because that would mean she would have to face Nicholas.

Billy decides to work together with Agatha in an effort to try to find Tommy, allowing Agatha to stay behind as a ghost and work with Billy as his spirit guide. He uses his powers to get rid of the door to the road, leaving behind Sharon, Alice, and Lilia's names as a tribute to their sacrifices. The new duo leave the basement and head back out to the real world where they hope to finally find Tommy.

Wait, that's it?!

Unfortunately for us, the Witches' Road is now locked away forever and we've officially reached the end. However, considering the fact that this is just the beginning of Billy's journey and Tommy's still out there, there's likely more to come for this new coven. Maybe even a different kind of team up? Who knows...we'll have to wait and see.
