One thing about me: I love a good discount—especially when that discount is attached to a traditionally $$$$ item, like a decent vacuum. As something most of us use daily (and for us pet owners, multiple times a day!) an effective vacuum is just a can't-live-without item. But as I said, they’re often v pricey. So when I saw that this TikTok viral, best-selling Dyson dupe was on super sale (we’re talking hundreds of dollars off) I had to know whether it was too good to be true. What’s the real deal with this viral, always-on-sale vacuum? Can we actually call it a Dyson dupe??
First of all, let’s talk price. The Inse Lightweight Cordless Vacuum retails for a whopping $329 but is listed right now at Walmart for under $70, which is $260 off (!!)—a MAJOR steal for a cordless vacuum with multiple attachments. Now, have I ever seen this vacuum listed for the full retail price? Uhh, no comment. But I will say that the steep discount is what drew me to click on it in the first place. A 79% off discount?! Maybe it's price gouging, maybe it's good marketing, all I know is that it hooked me in. $400 Dyson, who?
So, what features does it have?
This vacuum comes with multiple head attachments, two HEPA filters, a charger, and a wall mount. For less than $70, color me impressed! When I got it, I found it super easy to put together and relatively sleek overall. Naturally, I had to charge it overnight before I could use it for the first time but the battery is easy to detach, the charging process is simple, and it lasts up to 45 minutes of runtime on a single charge.
Once I could finally use it, I gave my apartment a full once-over. And I’ll say that for the price, this little vacuum gets the job done! There are two settings: Standard and Max. On standard alone, I found that the vacuum effectively picked up pet hair, dust, and dirt but the Max setting does provide a nice boost for bigger messes. It is indeed as lightweight as it claims, which is great for maneuvering into tricky stair corners and other hard-to-reach places.
One of my favorite features is just how simple it is to switch between attachments. There’s a crevice attachment along with the motorized floor brush so you get a kind of two-in-one hand and stick vac sitch. I’d say the stick portion works best on tile and hardwood floors but it picks up on low-pile carpet just fine, too. That attachment even has an LED headlight that makes it easy to see in low-light areas. In just one use, I was impressed by how much debris it captured. To empty, all I had to do was click a button on the canister and empty into a trashcan. We love easy!
In conclusion...
Look, is this a real Dyson ~dupe~? Maybe not. But is it an affordable and effective vacuum thats great for your first apartment, dorm, or small space? Definitely. I still break out my trusty Dyson standing vac for true deep cleans (aka before my in-laws come over) but the Inse has become my daily use option.
And because we don't know when (or if) it will shoot back up to the full price, if you're in the market for a new vacuum, I’d jump on it now. And while you are at it, browse a few more not-brand-name vacuums at reasonable prices and join me in our clean girl era.
