Editor's Note
‘Jaws’ at 35,000 feet’…
Coastal Airlines flight 416 is a pretty routine run from LA to New York, except that someone has kidnapped the pilot’s family and is threatening to murder them unless the pilot crashes the plane, killing everyone on board. Don Winslow calls this pulse-pounding debut thriller by former flight attendant T.J. Newman “‘Jaws’ at 35,000 feet.”

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Falling is a fun fast-paced thriller, brilliant read by Steven Weber. It is absurd and I guess that's what makes it work. If you are looking for a book to engross you, this should be added to your TBR pile of books, its really silly and a lot of fun.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Never written a review before but felt compelled to after this book. Great book, great plot, but HATED the fact that one of the more prominent characters was named "Big Daddy". Cringed every time I heard him called Big Daddy or "Daddy" ?
Great book other than that ??1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It's obvious that the author (who is a flight attendant) feels the need to justify her job to her readers. She goes into a soliloquy of all the training that flight attendants have to do in order to become eligible to fly. And then to have the flight attendant Save the Day oh, it's just a little too much. I'm sorry you feel this way about your chosen career.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Ending was flat for me but the story was very captivating
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Outstanding! Grabs you from the very first pages. Totally recommend!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A very action-packed read. What seems to start off as a normal day for one piolet turns into a nightmare when he is told to make a choice. Crash the plan or kill your wife and kids. Now, he must make his choice. His crew has his back, or are they part of the plan?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Well written book, great narration, exciting and yet plausible! I'd recommend as a beach or vacation read (but not if you travel by plane ;-/ )
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.25 stopped reading this a while ago but always wanted to come back to it. It was more thrilling the first time. Starting it over, not so much. But that makes sense. I have some critique but it was alright. Suspenseful at first. So it’ll be good for first time readers I think.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Falling starts with a bang and just keeps on going. I listened to it in one sitting.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a ride! I was totally entranced start to finish!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Grips you from the beginning and doesn’t let you go. I started and didn’t stop till the end. I look forward to more from this new author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was so good that I sped up the reading to keep indulging.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Couldn’t put it down. Great read. I will find this author again, and the reader.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It is definitely mostly driven off of hype. Starts with a decent premise but turns into the same tired tropes. The character development is bad (I could not care less about any of the characters), the twists were very foreseeable and the sympathizing left an extraordinarily bad taste. Would not recommend to anyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Insanely good! I couldn’t stop listening. Amazing plot with great character development. Brought chills to my neck during the gripping moments as if I were there, on that plane or watching the live news! Awesome awesome awesome job T.J.! Keep em comin’
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Riveting book. I couldn’t put it down. I look forward to read more fromT.J. Newman.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I listened to this recently on a flight from Atlanta to LAX. I was toward the end but stopped because of th turbulence on the flight. I LOVED the descriptions of all the LA streets and surrounding areas. This made me visualize with the characters. Can't wait for the movie!!!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5A load of hyped tripe. Badly written and one big predictable cliche. Avoid.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well paced and VERY entertaining! Well done, Ms Newman, well done!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5First, kudos as always to Steven Weber. He is not only one of my favorite actors but this is the second audiobook I had the pleasure of his fantastic narration. I need to look for more audiobooks he has narrated. Keep up the great work Mr. Weber you rock! Secondly, this book is fast paced, action packed, thriller fun! My only complaint is I thought perhaps there was the usual hating on Trump which I am really tired of as a plot device in new novels. Get over it people he is not president and now we are stuck with .... well... you know the thing. I picture a movie with Angela Basset as Jo and Aaron Eckhart as Bill. I hope this gets made into a movie because I love action movies. Great work by a new author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I thought this story would make me more fearful of flying, but in fact it did just the opposite. I feel more confident about flying and in the capabilities of the crew! Great story!! It made me cry at the end!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A big fan of this author already! There is energy and suspense right out of the gate… and never a dull moment. Her next book.. Drowning … may be even better than this one. Keep ‘em coming!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Narrator is AMAZING for this title, really had me invested the entire time. The story was also nonstop suspense
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Highly recommend! Grabs from first word and does not let go until last word.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5OMG! Non Stop Action! Couldn't wait to know the ending.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Good read. I totally loved that the hero was the FA and how FA’s were portrayed rather than the usual pilot is super human super hero. It was exciting and fun even if there were a few holes in believability. But that was easy to get past, it is fiction after all.
