About this audiobook

Only his memories can save her…

A great primal power has risen. The Queen of Flesh and Fire has become the Primal of Blood and Bone—the true Primal of Life and Death. And the battle Casteel, Poppy, and their allies have been fighting has only just begun. Gods are awakening across Iliseeum and the mortal realm, readying for the war to come.

But when Poppy falls into stasis, Cas faces the very real possibility that the dire, unexpected consequences of what she is becoming could take her away from him. Cas is given some advice, though—something he plans to cling to as he waits to see her beautiful eyes open once more: Talk to her.

And so, he does. He reminds Poppy how their journey began, revealing things about himself that only Kieran knows in the process. But it’s anybody’s guess what she’ll wake to or exactly how much of the realm and Cas will have changed when she does.

#1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout revisits Poppy and Casteel’s epic love story in the next installment of the Blood and Ash series. But this time, Hawke gets to tell the tale.

    Cas POV!

I love being able to hear the secondary point of view of events. Really enjoyed this book and had a really hard time putting it down once I started.

Pointless book except the last 20 mins maybe, could skip 90% of it. It's just a recap of everything so far from cas' pov

The 7-book series is awesome. It has twists and turns that are mind-blowing. The only thing you could possibly want is more!!!

Too much repetetive stuff. If that was needed for the story it might have been better in rhe first books. Ar this point in story it dose not add much value for me

I live this series but this book wasn’t quite as good as the others. I liked casteels pov but so much of it just felt repetitive with big enough of the present mixed in.

I loved the first books, but this one was sloppy and lazy... it just retold the entire story from a different perspective and added nothing at all too the story arc. I skipped half of it.

Have you ever seen the anime OnePiece? If so then have you ever seen the filler recap episodes? Well this whole book is one of those... A whole 10 minutes of story progression.

It's not that this is a so-so book that gives it a rating of three stars. It is the fact that it is all of the other books combined and condensed and repeated. If you're going to choose this book, you only need to read the first and last chapters for it to be anything new.

I enjoyed the different take on the voices for the narration. I actually enjoyed hearing the entire 1st 2 books retold from his POV. I did not enjoy the cliffhanger ending! Hoping there’s another book to this series one day but i understand an author can get tired of writing about one world so much. So my hope is that of “only 1 oil lamp’s worth.” (Sigh)

I cannot listen to this without Stina Nielsen as the voice actor. Why oh why would you remove her from this series!!!!!???? She’s amazing! And frankly is what kept me listening. I went to the end of the book to listen to what happened to Casteel and Poppy, just so I know…

This is essentially the first book all over again. I know that’s some people’s jam but it wasn’t different enough to really hook me in. It took me a long time to finish listening.
