He was born in Hammersmith, West London in the UK. At the age of two, he joined his Grandparents Ephraim and Lemira Vassell where he spent a brilliant childhood in Jamaica, West Indies. He returned to England to rejoin his parents nine years later, where he experienced some difficult years adjusting to the English culture. He left school with no qualifications, but returned to full-time education as an adult learner. He qualified as a Further Education College Lecturer, where he taught Basic Skills to adult learners for sixteen years.
He has been an integral part of setting up education and employment projects in various communities in London to support the long-term unemployed. The author is passionate about education and believes it is a significant medium for transforming lives. He currently supports adult students who are training to become teachers.
