He is the winner of the Field Academic Excellence prize for the year 2010/11 in the field of Social Work at University of East London. The placement during his first degree in social work to a government organisation (in Bangladesh) under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs introduced him to this setting of social work that deals with violence against women and children.
