As an account manager at Ogilvy & Mather, Kate recognized the power in distributing responsibility to the people on her team. She experienced first-hand that the whole of a team really is greater than the sum of its parts. Eventually, Kate experienced the fatigue that comes from working in a system where conversations repeat and go nowhere. So she changed what she could—where she put her focus. She let go of her advertising career and in 2003 she became a certified coach back when folks only associated the term “coach” with sports! Several decades and hundreds of clients later, Kate remains steadfast in her calling to support people on their journey to be the humans they want to be. She knows the power of coaching to help people overcome their internal roadblocks; this is her purpose in life. Kate is now a master coach, even devoting eight years to training other coaches on the faculty of Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). She has brought her skills to organizations including Mozilla, Pinterest, Adobe, DaVita, CBS Interactive, United Way of America, Intuit, Clever, Charge and Articulate. She has a master’s degree from Cambridge University, England.view less
