That God is the head of the home and we honor him through re...view moreI grew up in a home where family love was consistent and at the end of the day never goes to bed angry, because family is what mattered. That God is the head of the home and we honor him through respect. So, no matter what I got into even if I did not like the lesson learned, at the end of day I knew where to turn and I knew I was loved. My mother’s favorite words were, “I’m not always going to be here, what are you going to do to fix it?” Even when she would just come behind me and fix it anyway. I learned she wanted me to first try. From those experiences, I learned there is nothing wrong with failing if you don’t give up trying. I find myself saying that a lot in current times, “Character is not built off your success in life but how you chose to get back up when you fail. I have always had an ambition for writing and enjoyed expressing myself through art. My time working with young children gave me the idea of writing a children book. I dedicate this book to my mom who has given me a lot of support on this book. A special thank you to my cousin for taking the time to read it to her kids and give me honest feedback. I truly hope if nothing else that “Family” is what you take away from these stories.view less
