He then emigrated to the United States and completed a residency in OB/GYN at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, serving as Chief Resident in his final year of training. Most of his family emigrated to Houston in the meantime, so he relocated to Houston, TX and set up practice as a clinician delivering babies and doing gynecology. In 2007, Dr. Leibman was recruited to become the Chief Medical Officer at Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest in Houston, Texas, and filled that position with distinction for the next three years, maintaining a small private practice all the while. At the end of 2009, Dr. Leibman resigned from the hospital to pursue a private practice in gynecology only, and now has a successful busy practice in the Town and Country Village area in Memorial, Houston. Dr. Leibman is a past president of the Houston Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, was medical director of the OB/GYN department at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, and a former Chief of Staff at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. Dr Leibman completed a certification in Heath Care Management at Rice University, Jones School of Business , and continues to have a keen interest in the topics he has written about and quality of care and cost containment in healthcare.view less
