1992. Then, I began reading my poems to Isabel, a resident
at the Nursing Home. For whatever reason, I told her I was
going to stop writing after forty poems. She looked me
right in the eye and said, “Oh Love, you have a gift!” Never
stop writing or you’ll lose the passion for life itself.” I am
