My goal in life was to help people, socially, mentally ...view moreSpending 42 years working with children and adults of all ages in multiple YMCAs has provided me a good understanding of what children enjoy. My goal in life was to help people, socially, mentally and spiritually, so I pursued and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. I have a deep appreciation of sports, music, camping, teaching YMCA and church courses.
As CEO of many YMCAs, I’ve read these stories to numerous children in the YMCA day cares throughout the United States. Children liked them and always asked to read more. What motivated me to write this book were the births of my first eight grandchildren and I also wanted to share my book with others.
My wife of 54 years passed away in 2015. We had four children, 14 grandchildren, and after her passing, seven great grandchildren. Presently, I am retired and live in Mesa, AZ with my second wife, Elyce.view less
