He feels honored ...view moreDr. Wendell Bonner serves as the Elder and Pastor of The Ministry of Jesus Christ at First Baptist Church of Webster Groves, The House of Living Stone in Webster Groves, Missouri. He feels honored to have served in this capacity since 1994. Elder Bonner received his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from The University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where he also met his spouse of over 30 years, Dr. Lizette Smith-Bonner. He has 3 daughters: Jessica, Jaedyn and Gianna.
Pastor Bonner is the author of many spiritual education publications issued from The House of Living Stones Publications at the First Baptist Church of Webster Groves. He is also the author of a series of age-specific, culturally framed spiritual education curriculae for children, teens and adults; available through the House of Living Stone Publishing House at First Baptist Church of Webster Groves. Elder Bonner’s publication materials are used nationally and internationally.
In addition to the preaching ministry, Dr. Bonner’s has demonstrated long-standing musical talent, skill and appreciation. A native of Monroe, Louisiana, Elder Bonner began his early music education under the tutelage of his mother, Barbara Bonner, a significant figure in the region for instrumental, vocal, and choral teaching and training. Pastor Bonner is a talented vocalist, and has written over 200 gospel songs.view less
